quiet dining and attentive staff
plus food from the Basque/Northern region of Spain. the menu has diversity and most dishes are quite good but don't expect a big menu. I find the staff to be very welcoming and their back garden (although it's under a pavilion so you don't see the sky) is open mostly year round. During the week it tends to be less crowded and is a very nice retreat for quiet dinner.

my favorite pub
saw dust on the floor, holiday lights that rarely gets taken down, wooden booths worn from decades of use just make the already really good shepherd's pie and bangers & mash much better. a standard.

good food, nice selection on tap
usually a good neighborhood pub except when idiots like the ones posting 1 star barge in to pound back shots and drinks for 7 hours (all from the same day). it's laughable that one reviewer posted 'i'm pretty sure they over-charged me' -- if you're too drunk to be sure and too stupid to pay it, too bad. otherwise, it's an enjoyable pub with above average food and a good selection of beers.
