Serpas True Food
659 Auburn Ave NE # 501, Atlanta, GA 30312
I wanted to go to Serpas for a long time, Last night I went with a few friends and it was hands down the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The waiter was a jerk, he argued with us about items we did not order and the manager was very defensive. I cannot remember getting up in the middle of dinner and asking for the check. We didnt even want to finish out drinks. Terrible terrible terrible. Thank God for Sound Table down the street.
Empire State South
999 Peachtree St, Atlanta, GA 30309
After reading poor reviews online, I told our server that if the food was good I would write a review. First off, the restaurant is beautifully designed. More importantly, the wine list is extensive and very reasonable. We started off with the caviar which was amazeballs USA to the max. I had the flounder which was wonderful. Our service was great but not overbearing. I WILL be back!
Lily's Nail & Spa
1529 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30324
I had hopped around atlanta trying to find a clean and nice nail spa that didn't cost an arm and a leg ( or a hand and a foot in this case )...Anyway, I tried Lily's after my old girl went to another spa and the owner would not tell me where she went. I am in the salon business and I can tell from a mile away if a spa is not clean, and Lily's is. All the girls are excellent at what they do but Amy is my favorite. She is funny and very detail oriented.
Rise Sushi Lounge
300 Marietta St NW Ste 104, Atlanta, GA 30313
So today I dropped off a friend at an appointment Downtown and I had an hour to kill and I was really hungry and saw RISE. I usually have low expectations from Sushi restaurants in Atlanta, as most of them totally suck. So when I walked into RISE, I expected nothing more than the usual combo ""steak-sushi-lounge"" bull@#$% you find around town. I grew up in Southern California and my expectations are a little snobby when it comes to fresh fish. I dont eat tempura or fried rolls or that other Americanized Japanese cuisine. I LOVE sashimi and nigiri, and most places dont makes it the way I'm used to having it. The owner, Tong, was my Sushi chef and went above and beyond my expectations. He even offered samples of fish I had never tried before. It was such a good experience and I cannot wait to go back. It almost makes me happy that my friend had to go to court so I could finally end my search for good sushi that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
