Pam's Trinidadian-Caribbean Kitchen
5000 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105
My husband and I walked to Pam's Kitchen on a snowy night when many of the shops on the Ave were closed. We came to the door and saw that, although there were people dining in the place, their ""CLOSED"" sign was illuminated. We figured they were closing early and started to walk away, but the proprietor came out to the street and told us we could have dinner if we wanted. So nice. The food was excellent! All of the folks there were friendly and the service was exceptional. We will be back soon.
Center Stage Dance Shop

I came in to this little shop to find jazz shoes for my daughter. The salesperson, while not all that friendly, was helpful and knowledgeable. We were able to look at several choices before deciding what to buy, and it was all done in about 15 minutes. It looked like they had TONS of inventory, which is convenient when a customer needs shoes by the next day!

Metro Dog was able to take my dog on a busy 4th of July weekend. It was a VERY pleasant, easy experience all the way around. When I picked up Bruno, two staff members described his behavior- it was clear that they got to know him while he was there. It looked like he had a great time. I really appreciated how friendly the staff was with me. I felt like they were happy to be there, and happy to have Bruno. When the need arises for doggy day care or overnight care, I will certainly use this place again.

This shop is worth a trip to the U District (OK, I live in the neighborhood). The store is packed to the rafters with unique, fascinating, slightly creepy merchandise. For some reason, I assumed the owner of the place would be aloof, but she is friendly and darling. Please support this business!
A P Nail Salon
5020 Roosevelt Way NE Ste 2, Seattle, WA 98105
I love this place. The staff is so friendly- they greet me by name and ask about my sisters (who also frequent the place). They do lovely work, and the price is reasonable. The place is light and comfortable, with plenty of space. I am reluctant to review the salon, because I don't want them to get TOO busy, but they deserve to have the good word spread about their business.

After reading reviews here, my family patronized this restaurant and were not disappointed. The service was excellent, the food was DELICIOUS, and the meal was surprisingly inexpensive. The dumplings and homemade chow mein noodles were particularly memorable. We all agreed that the chow mein was better than Judy Fu's. Give this place a try!
