    Excellent Dining Experience

Recently went to 11 Madison, first time since chef Daniel Humm took over the kitchen. As usual, the service and ambiance of the restaurant are incredible. The food was equally outstanding - the gnocci and scallops are great apps, for main courses we had the suckling pig and loup de mer. Both excellent. This restaurant is a perfect choice for fine dining, special occassions, etc. Highly recommended.

    Good, solid Italian

The service here was great, the food was very good (the pasta dishes we had were excellent - the bucatini and the rigatoni), and they have a very reasonable wine list. We also had the bacon-wrapped shrimp appetizer which was delicious. Went on a Friday night and were lucky enough to get a table for two with a minimal wait, but it was definitely crowded. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a solid meal with nice atmosphere.

    Nice atmosphere and great food

I recently had dinner here while sitting at the bar. Service at the bar was fine, just as you would expect. I had the pepper crab dumpling appetizer and the lamb for an entree. Both dishes were excellent. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the dumplings had an amazing pepper taste. My friend had the sea bass which apparently was also excellent. The atmosphere is pretty minimal; slightly trendy feeling but not too stuffy. The decor is nice and relatively simple. They also have a lounge area to the side of the restaurant with nice sofas.

    Great neighborhood spot

Le Zie is a great Chelsea spot for quality Italian food. The menu is pretty diverse ranging from their standard spaghetti and meatballs (which are excellent) to various fish and meat based dishes. They have a very extensive wine list and there are several excellent Italian wines available for $40 and under. The service has generally been good, although it can get a little crowded in the main dining room. Upstairs can feel a little desolate but better than waiting for a table in the main room.

    Great Chelsea Spot

The Red Cat is a great neighborhood place. The atmosphere is very nice, but not stuffy. The service has always been excellent. The menu doesn't change all that often, but the food is excellent. A good range of dishes from seafood like skate and salmon to steak and pork tenderloin. They also have a great wine selection and a nice bar to eat or drink at.

    Top Indian on Curry Row

I've been going to Haveli for years and they have had consistently good Indian food. The menu has a nice variety of options: vegetarian, seafood, meats, north and south indian food. I've always had very tasty, filling meals here. The service can definitely leave a bit to be desired, but the food is much better than its 6th st counterparts, and a little more expensive (but still very reasonable). If you like your food spicy you should definitely let them know, their standard is relatively mild (for indian food).
