    i'll pass

With so many wonderful and intimate West Village restaurants around, why would you bother going back to Gradisca? The food is uncreative and bland. The setting is college basement. However, the service is great. For the same money, go to Gonzo or Crispo instead.

    crispo at your dispo

Trendy 14th street restaurant. Attractive space but you always feel like you're in a basement. The staff is friendly and effficient. The food is moderately priced. The food is creative and sometimes marvelous, sometimes what-were-they-thinking? I've gone back many times.

    local and lively

Fun and noisy local restaurant. The food ranges from okay to delicious and the service varies from great to poor. But it's the atmosphere that makes me return to Bar 6. The crowd is very downtown casual and it's fun to watch the locals.

    college food

Piadina reminds me of college food. It's simple, informal and nothing special. It's filled with college kids because it's moderately priced which makes it lively. And as soon as I paid my bill I was asked to leave. That was rude and left an unpleasant impression on me and my friends.

    groovy movies

I've lived in New York City so long that I remember when the Quad had small screens. The Quad never changed but everyone else downscaled. The Quad is known for obscure and usually interesting films. The place has always seemed a bit shabby but I have always liked and supported it. NYC needs more theaters like this one.
