La Focaccia Italian Grill
800 S Alamo St, San Antonio, TX 78205
We went here after seeing it on ""the Best of"" list. I am really surprised this place was rated so high. The bread was good, but the rest of the food was nothing special. The calamari was chewy, but the breading was light and yummy. The alfredo sauce was more like a macaroni and cheese sauce - very strange. All in all we probably won't be back. The place is cute, and the waiter was very nice, the food is just not anything to rave about.
15103 Bandera Rd, Helotes, TX 78023
The food was fantastic on our first visit, althought service was slow. It was during the day, so perhaps they were under staffed. I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, I can't wait to go back and try the margarita!
The Old Spaghetti Factory
1610 E Shaw Ave, Fresno, CA 93710
Went to the factory on a Saturday night and found it to be BORING. The service was great, probably because we were one of 5 tables there. The food was so bland! The bread was good, but other than that it was just ""blah"". We were the only ones there under the age of 65 and the dining room was silent, no music. It was incredibly cheap for salad, meal, ice cream and drink, but I do not think I will ever go back.
The Meat Market Inc
454 W Alluvial Ave, Fresno, CA 93650
I work down the street from Meat Market and love this place! The bbq sandwiches are so good, and the potatoe salad is the best recipe I have tasted . There is no formal seating, basically just picnic tables, but if you call ahead they will have it ready and waiting for you. They also handle large orders really well.
