Spent approx $120 not including tip two of us. Ordered several cocktails and a glass or two of wine apiece - but even so - we should have only payed about $60. They charge twice as much as they should for EVERYTHING. Only willing to cough up money for the exotic cocktails which were EXCELLENT! A half glass of wine in a full size goblet costs $8. Ordered 3 different appetizers - two were puny. One was a teeny goat cheese in tomato sauce deal. The other was 3 little phyllo dough things. Each cost $8. Ordered basteya - which was good but cost $16. These folks'll survive on special events tourist trade since the neighborhood isn't trendy. It was Saturday night and no one was at the bar. Also having foot traffic behind you while seated at the bar is unattractive, uncomfortable, cumbersome and annoying.

The only reason I'm not giving this place all 10s is because they need to hire more help. You have to go there on the right evenings - forget weekends. They've only got 2 guys at the sushi bar and they are SLAMMED! If you go earlier in the week however, you can expect excellent, fresh quality sushi with excellent service. They just need to have more waitresses on the floor and better organization for the crowd they get.

Actually, I think I'm being kind by giving this restaurant as high a rating as I'm giving it. Food was very mediocre. Way too much tomato sauce on my pasta. I was barely waited on and the waiter, although civil, really had no personality. If you're on Fillmore and you want to have lunch and can't go to La Posada, stop on in....I guess. It'll get rid of the hunger pangs, but there was really nothing to entice me to go back.
