Like every other pet owner, I am cautious when it comes to picking a good vet, especially in the city. They tend to charge you so much it scares you away.
I called several places including Humane Society and Bidawee and turns out this vet clinic is almost as affordable as the Humane Society and you don't need to wait a month for the appointment.
The regular exam is $65 and each shot is $25 so your annual visit is $110. My cat needed bloodwork so he could get his teeth cleaned and the blood work is $140, which is about the same as Humane Society. The dental work is only $185, which is actually really good.
In addition to the affordable services, the doctor we met was very friendly and patient. The wait is pretty short and they are open on Saturdays!
Nancy's Pig Heaven
1540 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10028
I really want to give this place a 4 Star since it is a Taiwanese restaurant and the owner, Nancy is very very nice and gorgeous! But I am trying to stay objective here so that is why 3 star is what they are getting.
Pig Heaven is one of the few high-end Taiwanese restaurant in Manhattan. The decor is kind of funny and cute; there are tons of piggie banks and pig heads around the restaurant.
I came here for a dinner party of 80 and I am not sure if this is the right place for this large number of people. They dishes come a little too small and sometimes lukewarm.
The food itself is pretty average. I think the best dishes of all are their BBQ ribs and pineapple walnut shrimp (without the pineapple or walnut). Everything else is pretty forgettable.
I will come back to try it again for a regular non-banquet style meal but definitely not going to make my way out there.
