Golden Corral Restaurants

Big disappointment. Heard so much about their steaks. Have been there before for breakfast buffet. This time came all the way from Annapolis for appt and decided to try Golden Corral steak in Upper Marlboro MD. Arrived 10am so waited for store to open at 11:am. Paid Lunch price. But when asked for piece of steak from steak chef, I was refused. He said steak served only at Dinner. Well considering Dinner starts at 4:00 pm, why was he cooking steak 5 hours ahead of time? I called the Manager and requested to pay the higher dinner price-- just so I could get a steak. But he very rudely refused stating that it was company policy? What kind of policy does not treat customers with courtesy? I came a distance and waited almost an hour for steak. Then paid for a buffet of meatloaf, chicken, and tacos??? Cafeteria food! Would have gone to Longhorn or Outback if I knew. Sign does not indicate "no steak for lunch". Manager did not refund my money. I will NEVER go back there!!!

My family and I visited this restaurant recently. The food was fresh, and the surroundings were clean. We plan to visit this restaurant in the future.

When this restaurant first opened it was over crowded. Now, not so much as before. Apparently there is not enough help to keep the place fresh and clean. It smell really bad alot of the time from dirty cleaning rags and the food bars are nasty and unkept. The staff need training in customer service, Please management, help bring this place up to good standing.
