Absolutely devastated. I was told I could adopt a beautiful baby beagle. Jennifer the foster mom called me and gave me the awsome news .. Didn't even ask about the deposit I offered. Said she wants him to have a great transition since she couldn't keep him due to having other dogs. . Come to Monday and suddenly Jeffery's sister has Parvo and it's a deadly virus that usually kills puppies. So if he has it the shelter will not adopt out. I told her please keep me updated if he can make it though please keep me as his person. I started researching parvo and lifespan and everything ...I was freaking out...Jennifer gave me her apologies and reassured me that he would be mine as long as he didn't have it..I called her from work and she sounded genuinely upset about the situation and how she liked me. So I kept my hope up because she said if he's well I can have him. I spent my night a total mess and was soo anxious for Jeffery. Tues morning I got a text saying Jeffery has it and they will not adopt him out but that she would be keeping him. ...later I reached out to Vicki to fill her in and she had NO clue. Then Vic calls and says Jeffery does NOT have Parvo. She just changed her mind and wants to keep him. So sorry but now he is her dog. I told Vic everything and she just denied it saying well I wouldn't call Jennifer a liar...does the pup have parvo? No? Then she is LIAR. I told her I would send her the messages and she didn't care. Said Jennifer was a 1st time foster and it happens. She s leaning..to be a liar 100% Then got super defensive about the shelter and how it's not their fault and they don't want a bad reputation. So I asked will she be allowed to foster again? Vic said oh well not right now since she has a puppy. I reached out to Jennifer and she apologized. Basically because she got caught. If I didn't reach out to Vic I would have never know. And it didn't really help because she was super indifferent. I'm going to post at least the written texts.
