Physical Therapy A variety of treatment methods, exercises, &modalities used to restore physical function, prevent disability, &improve strength & movement. Therapists educate patients to take care of themselves &to perform some exercises on their own. Hand Therapy Therapists provide evaluation &treatment of hand disorders ranging from traumatic injuries to chronic conditions &diseases of the hand: Arthritis Burns Carpal Tunnel & DeQuervain's Syndrome CMC Pain/Osteoarthritis Contusions, Crush injuries Contractures & motor nerve palsies Digital amputation Distal Radius Fractures Dupuytren's Disease Finger/Thumb/Wrist Sprains Palmar Fasciitis Phalangeal Fractures Tennis & Golf Elbow Trigger Fingers Tendonitis Unstable joints Non-specific Hand Pain Lymphedema Therapy Lymphedema Treatment Complete Decongestive Therapy:4 part program that requires complete participation to be effective.Below are the steps of CDT: Manual Lymph Drainage, a gentle, manual technique that’s done in a pattern to clear the way for the excess lymph fluid to be more easily drained.This should be done by a certified therapist. Gradient Compression uses bandages &eventually a compression garment. Lymphedema Exercises, Lower effort exercise, done while wearing the compression bandage to make the muscle pumping effect on lymph fluid better. Meticulous Skin Care prevents overloading the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system begins in the skin&damage to the skin can damage an already poorly functioning lymphatic system. Home Program, teaches how to do generalized manual lymph drainage,bandaging of your own arm or leg, how to monitor your condition&how to know when you need to seek professional help. Industrial Services &Rehab We provide customized services based on individual needs. We offer specialized, credentialed staff, progressive therapies &individual attention to each client&each patient. Work Injury Management Services ISR offers treatment of acute injuries by professionals specially trained in industrial rehabilitation. Our team includes physical & occupational therapists&certified hand therapists. Reconditioning Program:Our work-hardening&reconditioning program helps patients make a seamless transition, from the acute-injury phase into a program specifically designed to relate to the actual physical demands of his or her job. Multidisciplinary Teams:The case manager works to provide continuous communication & facilitate team work between the employer, case manager, physician&physical/occupational therapist. Functional Capacity Evaluations:Relating to the physical demands of the injured worker's job, functional capacity evaluations enable the team to determine quickly if the patient can return to his or her job &to identify functional areas for improvement. Aquatic Therapy Aquatic exercises provide buoyancy&resistance to relieve pain&stiffness.Individuals with arthritis&fibromyalgia find water therapy beneficial.
