I am not sure what planet Foodfun74 is from, as this restaurant is busy 7 days a week. Thing is, I have never experienced a bad meal in this establishment. If by Mr. Grease Lightning, he is referring to young and energetic entrepreneurs looking to establish themselves as an industry benchmark for excellent food at a reasonable price, then he is correct. The owners have struck a cord with the mouths of consumers and have expanded into Modesto. Certainly not the stuff of people who don't know what they are doing. My guess would be Foodfun74 takes the art of wine pairing a bit too seriously, as most just simply wish to enjoy good food, with good friends and family in an enjoyable atmosphere. If you are looking for an exclusive eatery that intimidates the consumer for their lack of elite status, you have found the right place. If you are looking for the best Italian food in Turlock and Modesto, then you have found the right place. The Waldorf Chicken and Chicken Gorgonzola salads are highly recommended, as is the Baked Ziti (which by the way has red sauce!!), Farfalle Chicken Gorgonzola and Roasted Vegetable Raviolis. They also bake their bread fresh to order in their stone pizza oven.
The best part here is the bread. They always give us more if our main dish still is in the kitchen. We are usually full by the time our food is ready. Not because of time but because of the taste. I get the shrimp scampi and love it
the pizza was good but what i didn't like was that the pizza wasn't round shaped and it was cut so odd that i was wondering if one needs to ask for their pizza to be made and cut correctly
