Had my first eat out at CHEDDAR’S today, the atmosphere comfortable and pleasant despite the overcrowded waiting list that filled the doors and out into the parking lot. A waiting list for over an hour, but well worth it for this being my first visit. I want to thank my wife and stepson for taking me there and of course, LIZ our server who was very attentive, helpful, and courteous, had a passion for her job, and our desires as customers. Thank you LIZ. It did not take long from the time we placed our order until the food reached our table hot and delicious. Reasonably priced for the portions received, quality of food was outstanding. As a meticulous eater, I chose to test their skills in the kitchen as well as on the floor and was not disappointed. I had a new dish on the menu, which was the Braised fall-apart Pot Roast over mashed potatoes, carrots, onions, and celery, a Cesar salad with a fresh restaurant made croissant, a buttery flaky viennoiserie bread roll. The roll I must say was superb. WOW! At first I was skeptical about Pot Roast being on a menu in a well know restaurant, but they knocked this one out of the ballpark. The pulled meat fell apart as advertised on the menu and was so tender it nearly melts in my mouth before having the chance to chew: tasty, tender, tantalizing, and tempting enough for another go-round. Also enticed watching the food of other customers come from the kitchen, the sights, and smells reached my taste buds with intrigue, and having me wanting to try each one as I eyed them, making this a definite return to try something new. My overall experience and recommendation of a place to take family, friends, or for that lunch / dinner out with a loved one makes this a HIGHLY recommended restaurant to frequent should you live here or just visiting. Thank you to all that work at the CHEDDAR’S Casual Café 10708 E 71st St, Tulsa, OK 74133 (71st & 169 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma) incredibly good food there.
Wonderful place, the food is great but the best thing is Friday and Saturday evenings they have Mr. Johnny Johnson playing guitar and singing. For …
During my business trip to Tulsa I tried Mimis Cafe for breakfast on my last day. First of all, the location is convenient and the restaurant gorgeous. They even have outside tables that are served. The menu looked impressive, but whenever I try a new restaurant I go with one of the classics. Here: bacon and eggs, coffee and an orange juice. Nothing special, right? Wrong! In this restaurant, you can substitute the potatoes for fresh fruit for a small charge and have a choice of muffin or toast. Fruit and toast it was for me. When I got my breakfast I couldn't believe my eyes: it was PERFECT! The bacon of high-quality and done just right, crispy but not dry. The eggs just how I ordered them, the toast cross but not too much and buttered. And fresh fruit that was not only fresh but plentiful and really yummy. But what blew me away was the presentation on the plate: picture-ready and obviously done with a lot of experience, care and an attention to detail. Extremely pleasing to the eye, and very inviting. I am a not food fetishist and wouldn't call myself a connoisseur but I am convinced that presentation is important. Somebody at the restaurant "got it". The freshly-pressed orange juice was above average, too. Compared to that, the coffee was standard, even though they have a full selection of espresso drinks, too. My waiter was alright, friendly but not over-the-board so and the prices are totally adequate for what they deliver. All in all, a very pleasant experience and my only qualms with Mimis Cafe are that I hadn't discovered it sooner. When I'll be back, there will be no other place to enjoy breakfast.
This is one of my favorite places on Cherry Street. It is a pretty popular one too. This actually used to be where I went a lot of the times with friends on a Friday night just to sit on the patio and drink cold beers after a long work week. They have good appetizers too. The environment is nice and friendly and they do wait on your frequently. There is only one thing that I do not like about this place and that is the Piano guy that plays there more often than not. I do not remember this man's name... I do not enjoy him when I am sitting inside. He is rather loud and somewhat obnoxious in my personal opinion. I wish that they would have some local live bands instead. They can accomodate them and I have often wondered why they don't do this instead of the same guy all of the time. At least he always seems to be there when I am. LOL.. I have only been here for drinks and appetizers and not to sit down at a table and eat. However, there are many who just go to eat as they do have a large restaraunt area. The restrooms are very small and need some updating. Also, when you walk inside, watch your footing. This place is a bit dark inside and there are steps where you may least expect them. Ha!!!
