The service is quite professional with outstanding health safety procedures. I was especially blown away by their customer art honesty as I would call it. For instance I noticed a customer walking in with a picture of an awesome pirate flag that was flying high above its mast and the customer wanted it on his hand. As mere coincidence, i'm hoping... The artist listening to the customer had a big burly pirate beard. He was only missing the eye patch and wooden leg. Lol. Well the pirate artist then said, "how's your work life working for ya? Are you stable in that field and is the job security great there?" The customer then responded with a shocked look and said," I'm between jobs and I really don't have a trade yet. Why do you ask & does it really matter, bro?" The artist replied with, "well it's like this.... You ain't got a job and you want to further your jobless future by placing yourself in the possibly unemployable list of America. Because by placing that tattoo in a place obvious to the general publics line of sight will give you a drastic disadvantage when it comes to clean cut joe shmoe with his tattoos hidden precisely out of general view." The customer then took the pirates hand and shook it with great appreciation and said, " cool my left chest has been craving a pirate flag flying above my still beating heart." Now all this really took place in front of my eyes. I thought it was very admirable of the tattoo artist thinking about the customers best interest with superior trade knowledge and professionalism. I would have to rate this place with a five star but unfortunately the place has gained so much great repertoire among the inked community that getting booked for a session could take as long as a month or a month and a half. But who knows with a little luck someone fell down five steps and broke their hip....leading to a appointment cancellation and a few hours opening for a lucky walk-in. I've heard all the artist are as equally brilliant with their hands but I have to go feed my always hungry two months old baby. So I have to go. But I definitely recommend Spaded & Jaded Tattoo Co. To all my friends, family and all the other yellow page viewers of the world. -Dingo Brown phone: (321)big-ups-2 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Landscaping and air conditioning plus more...for a reasonable price. I went into Ink Junky's when they were in Owasso, and requested a tattoo that was is very special to me...I wanted "Nanny" on the front of my shoulder and I wanted it to look like it had been sewn in, as my grandmother is a very creative woman, and sews, quilts, all that fun stuff. I told them my idea and how I wanted it to look, came back a few hours later, and Mel D did the tattoo for me. He is amazing, he is possibly one of the kindest people I have ever met as well. He is extremely creative, and I will go back to him over and over, for any work I need done. And he was in fact so good, that I went back to him last year, and got a portrait piece done on my arm for a family member who had passed away, and this tattoo is very special to me, and I can not express in words how much I appreciate his work and what he has done for me. It really told me alot about his character, when I brought in my picture of my cousin I wanted done, and my cousin, was a drag queen, and one of the most beautiful queens at that, and Mel took one look at that picture and asked me "so this is your cousin?" "yes, thats him" and he looked at me kind of shocked and said "wow-that is amazing, he looks beautiful!" and then we had a discussion about how men always look better than women when they dress in drag....I realize that even in 2011 people are more understanding and accepting of people and their lifestyles, but it meant alot to me, to go see someone, show them a picture of someone I love dearly, and have them completely accept them, and understand. He did a beautiful piece for me, in amazing time, and when he was done, I was in tears, because of the beauty of the piece. And anytime I hear anyone needs a tattoo, Mel is the 1st person i reccommend, and anytime I need work done, he is the 1st person I want to do it. He has gone above and beyond what I expected in a tattoo artist. http://www.facebook.com/INKJUNKYS Check him out. He is the best way to go.
I just walked in today to get my first tattoo. I was a little concerned - this tattoo was a suprise for my dad, and I needed a same-day. I originally wanted to go to Brookside, but I know they were backed up for months. My boyfriend recomended that we come here, where he had all of his done. I was skeptical, at first, because of some of the poor reviews. The experience was far, FAR more pleasant than I ever thought. Cliff, the owner, was my artist. The assistant was a little off in the pricing quote, but Cliff gave me a more accurate one. It was $70 more than what I was told initially, but it was absolutely WORTH IT. I brought in an image from an old book that was published in the 70s, my dad has the same tattoo, and I wanted to suprise him. Cliff did wonders to it - my dad's faded and looks pretty poor now, but Cliff stressed over and over that he was going to try and make sure none of it would blur together (since it was fairly detailed). His attention to detail and strive for accuracy was amazing. Cliff and the assistant (looks like Jonah Hill, if I'm being honest) were not only professional, but completely friendly. You can tell they are very passionate about what they do, and they have common sense when it comes to dealing with customers! I brought in some friends that were tagging along, and we all talked during the two hours he worked on my arm. Everything was clean, it was very spacious, very wonderful, and Cliff's team has earned three customers for life. I will never go anywhere else.
