Just to correct a few things posted by the previous reviewer. It takes a special license to prescribe suboxone for drug dependence and is usually done by an addiction specialist. Dr. Patel is a pain management physician and does not deal with the detoxification services the previous poster clearly needs. My experience at the Oklahoma Pain and Wellness Center was excellent, ranging from the receptionist all the way to Dr. Patel himself. Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable when it comes to numerous pain management strategies, and he employed a balanced approach of injection therapy along with medication adjustments to restore my function. He is also very courteous and professional. I would recommend this place to anyone.
I developed sciatica and could not work. I saw the doctors at the Oklahoma Pain and Wellness center and they took really good care of me. I also met the PA and the medical assistant. They saw me and did an injection on me the same day. I was so happy that they could accommodate me. Within 2 days, I was pain free and not taking any pain medications. The shot lasted about 3 months after which it came back just a little. Dr. Patel prescribed some exercises and the pain got better over the next 2 weeks. I am now completely pain free and have this clinic to thank for it.
I have been told several times that I would be billed as in network even though I’m out of network as a Cigna member. I can never get a clear answer as to what my cost will be. I need that information before any procedure so that I can make an informed decision. My income does not allow me to absorb extra cost.
I have had chronic pain sense my back surgery. Dr. Scott Anthony is the only one who has been able to get it to manageable levels. He is booked six months in advance but if I have an emergency he will work me in. He comes in early and leaves late. There is no one more dedicated to his job then Dr. Anthony.
I love Dr Patel & Mark. They clearly care & I have full confidence in them both. Unfortunately today I found the check-in person to be rather flippant & rude when I first spoke with her. When she left the window & returned she was pleasant enough though in no way made up for the initial encounter.
Pleased with Mark staff sometimes a little ride on phone calls and have had trouble getting meds always get different answers from staff on time frame for meds did without mainmed for 2.5 daus because it did not get processed. talked to Mark and he is wrking on getting it corrected.
I have been with Dr Patel since he was with Tulsa Pain. There have been some rocky times with staff changes but sticking with him through it all has been well worth it! Dr Patel really cares about his patients and takes the time needed. Love him wouldnt change Drs for the world.
The staff was well qualified, but they were either short staffed or over booked because our wait was almost an hour. It was the same way the first followup. That is a long time for a 90 year old. My dad said he wont come back because of that. He will because I will bring him.
Let me know what doctor that I am going to see, and who is going to be my doctor!! I would really appreciate it if I knew what was going on with my doctors!! I have a lot of respect for DR. WASIF and for DR. DAFTARY!!! I think they are both very good doctors..
Dr. Patel and his Staff have been very good to me and have done everything possible to help me with my pain. My life would be unbearable if I was in constant pain, but the trigger point injections and analgesics prescribed I manage to get adequate relief.
