Worst emergency room ever. The staff is rude, had to ask for pain medicine twice before they would give my nephew anything, waited for over three hours just for my nephew to be sent home because "there's nothing they could do for him", for the poor child to have to be seen by a surgeon not even 5 days later and us be told he should have never even been allowed to leave that emergency room and we'll be lucky if the abscess doesn't reabcess.. WATSE OF TIME TO GO HERE!!!!

Faster than St Johns, OSU, and Hillcrest in ER service. Been to each place with family members

I am not very impressed I was told that this hospital was the best ... me and my fiance have been sitting in the waiting room for 7 hours.. mind you he's sick really sick.. people continue going back and his name hasn't been called.. we drove all the way from claremore to get better attention then our hospital and honestly we've never had to wait so long in the waiting room. Haven't even made it back to the room where we sit and wait for the the doctor yet. oh and he's not supposed to eat or drink until seen.. THAT'S RIDICULOUS. I'm not impressed. Should get it together. This is a nice hospital either understaffed or slow as hell..

Worse hospital. My mother-in-law was in there October 2012. As she lay there dying a nurse, Deanna Thompson,, shoots saline from a syringe at my husband. Flirting. She also pulls my husband aside and tells him there's more going on with his mom than the Drs are telling us. She gives her phone number to my husband and they start an affair even before my mother-in-law passes away there at the hospital. I contact the hospital to report her unprofessional conduct. They do ask nurse about it which of corse she denies all it. So word of advice if you have a male loved one at St Francis you will want to make sure she's not around if you want to keep him.

    Would have been great...

We had our first child here. Everything when great before and during birth. After that, we were basically forgotten.

    1. Nurses took 45 min to respond to vomiting call.

    2. They offered an announcement spot in the newspaper for our new little boy. Never happened.

    3. We were asked if we wanted pictures of him, we said yes. Photographer never showed until we were walking out the door.

    4. SSN paperwork assistance was very confusing, we still managed to fill it out properly with the help of my friend who is a Dr.

    4. They totally messed up all the birth certificate and SSN paperwork, and now we have to pay to fix it. They offered no help and had little to no response.

Other than that, it's a clean hospital and the doctor that we brought in for the delivery were great.

Awful customer/patient care, I even wrote to the hospital to inform them of the horrible mistakes they made with my care...I got a little followup initially (they were clearly thinking I was going to sue, which I do have a right to) but once I backed off I have received nothing. NO one telling me how they addressed the issue, (even though I was told I would get a written step-by -step of how they took care of it) nor any compensation or response when I tried to followup again... they could've killed me with the treatment plan they implemented. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here and I work in healthcare and have been an employee of numerous hospitals across the US... there is only one other hospital I would say this about. Go elsewhere!

Don't go to St Francis on a Sunday!

My mother in law fell and hit a dining chair. The finial on top of the chair punctured into her neck and broke off. She was admitted into this huge trauma emergency center at 830 AM and now, six hours later, still waiting on an operating room to perform surgery because they only have a few rooms available on a Sunday! I know a hospital is a business but this is bad business!

Will drive to OKC before I go here again. t

Went to the ER with horrible stomach pain, vomiting, dehydration, BP 162/121.arrived at 1 pm.Admitted at 6 am the next day after Ct scan showed a bowel obstruction; it can kill you quickly. Stayed in there 4 days with an NG tube inserted while I was awake. Barbaric. Was sent home & my doctor said he'd seen me again "in a month or less" for surgery. Sure enough, 2 weeks later there I was again for surgery. The surgeon ordered morphine every 3 hours while waiting for surgery. I was screaming & crying in pain & kept hitting the call button for 6 hours. Actually heard a nurse tell the other one to "shut that Damn thing off". The charge nurse (God bless her) happened by. I had my pain medication within 3 minutes. Another nurse on another day kept telling me I wasnt in as much pain as I said. She told me she's seen cancer patients tolerate level 10 pain without medication, and that she could also. The rest of the staff, including Nancy, Lila, Courtney,Katie, and I am so very sorry I didn't write down the names of the wonderful staff. It was the horrible ones who make me not want to go back. And they know who they are.

    prospective employee

It would have been convenient to list the addresses of the other hospitals in the Saint Francis system. As a hopeful prospective employee, I would like to know where the hospitals are located before I pursued a career with them. Other than that,I have found the site to be helpful, informational, and quick moving.
