I had previously written a review about a missed appointment I experienced at k42. I was bitter because I have driven from out of town for it. I have experienced many tattoo shops and many different artists. My missed appointment seemed like horrible customer service but Nick personally apologized to me and remembered me personally over the phone 4 months after my missed appointment. I have never experienced such great sincerity from tattoo artists. I could hear that he was honestly sincere and it was a family emergency. Like come on, most missed appointments are just re-scheduled because the artists was hung over or didn't feel like coming in or took that day off. But the artist Nick remembered me gave me the most honest apology for missing a meaningless appointment compared to why he had to miss it. To top it off, he offered me a great deal on some artwork I want to get done. What he offered to give me for missing my appointment is extremely generous and no other shop has ever done that for me or anyone I know. I have never been taken care of, treated, or thought of so deeply about my experiance as small as a missed appointment at any shop in my entire life. Nick at k42 is a great artist and not only takes care of his clients he has a true passion for what he does which sets apart other shops from true ARTISTS. I recommend Nick and K42 highly not only for his talent and his artists' talent, but his true passion for what he does.Plus his piercer rocks and they got great prices on dermals! Tattoos are for life and who puts it on you matters more than a lot of people consider sometimes but Nick whether you care who does your tattoo or not will treat you with the goal of pleasing that client and making sure they are happy with their art for life.
My first tattoo was a very horrible experience, at the age of 21 I did not do the research on the shops. I wore it with shame and hid it from everyone. In 1991 in my 30s I met an artist who worked for Enchanted Dragon (Campbell shop who later moved to Grant and 4th Ave.) I asked if he could cover the tattoo on my chest that I was so eager to get rid of, he asked what I had in mind and went to work drawing up three different options I could use for the cover up. He was so talented as I watched him draw these pictures from his head. I chose one and that tattoo is still on my chest looking good as the day he did it and I show it off every chance I get. 12 years ago I had a tattoo done on my right thigh and it was a large piece. I sat 10 hours straight thru and it is one of my favorite pieces. It goes from my knees to my hip and wrapped around my thigh. I loved it so much two months later I had the same artist do portraits of my girls on my left thigh. All this was done at the Speedway Shop. Seven years ago I was in my 40s and notice that my face was showing age and I don’t normally wear make-up. While at Enchanted Dragons with my daughter while she was getting a piercing done I was talking to Kathleen Tackett who does Cosmetic Tattooing. When I saw what she had done for others I decided to get my eyeliner and eyebrows done, OMG OMG! Kathleen took 10 years off my face by lifting the brow line. Now I have defined eyes with no fuss. Since then I have gotten another large piece on my back and when my daughter turned 18 I took her to Enchanted Dragons Speedway Shop for her first tattoo. I love the service and the professionalism, as well if not most important the quality of work.
I have been going to Majestik tattoo for a while now and absolutely love it. For someone who had never been into a tattoo shop before the thought was a little intimidating which sounds totally silly now since the second I stepped foot into Majestik I was met with awesome people and great customer service. Since that first visit I have gotten 15 piercings and 3 tattoos all of which have healed beautifully. Katie has done all of my piercings and is the main reason I keep going back to majestic. She has amazing customer service skills and is very knowledgeable without sounding stuck up. Katie always maintains a level of professionalism and is always pleasant to be around making anyone who walks into the shop feel comfortable. As for tattoos, I have yet to have been let down by the artists at Majestik. My first tattoo was done by Mitch, who did a fantastic job at making the experience a positive one. He walked me through each step from set up to after care instructions so I knew exactly what to expect, and was able to answer all of my questions even the dumb ones. My second and third tattoos were done by Greg and Austin who did similarly spectacular jobs at making pleasant experiences and amazing pieces of artwork that I’m proud to have! All three artists did an amazing job at working with me to create unique designs that were exactly what I wanted and more. I can’t say enough about the positive experiences I’ve had and the great people I’ve met at Majestik. I have and will definitely continue recommending Majestik Tattoo to friends and anyone who is looking to get a tattoo or piercing done right!
