I'm very glad I found Rocco's on one of my trips to Tucson. Since then, it's been a must-go on subsequent trips, as the pizza is awesome and among the best I've ever had. The only caveat I have is that each time I've gone, the customer service could be better. It's ranged from indifference to just a generally surly attitude, but the pizza easily makes up for it. I usually get the stuffed crust, and it's been universally delicious each time. Usually when a pizza has chunks of tomato included in the sauce, I will remove the biggest pieces, but despite their presence in the Rocco's sauce, they don't bother me in the slightest. Even the crust, typically the weakest part of any pizza, is very good. Perhaps not good for you (scratch that, definitely not good for you), but well-worth eating, or to use a more appropriate term, devouring. Their breadsticks are also quite good. So to summarize: despite the attitude of (some of) the employees, the pizza is more than delicious enough to make up for it. If you're a pizza fan (especially of deep dish), you have blasphemed if you go to Tucson and don't go to Rocco's!
Simply put. The food is great.
This heavenly pizza place is a step above the rest. While the pies are outstanding the Calazones are to die for. They are bursting with cheese both ricotta & others. The hoint of nutmeg and spice gives it the authentic grandma flavor. The bread is perfection.Crisp outside, soft and chewy inside. They are also HUGE.1 easily feeds 2 people but we fight for the leftovers as we each order an different one. They are darn near as good the next day. I moved to the area 8 months ago and this small spotless fun place became my numero uno takeout pizza place. We have all the chains and even Magpies but they can't even begin to compare to the quality of the ARIZONA PIZZA COMPANY
