SportsBUZZ is a new social media program co-founded by NFL star Chris Cooley that puts fans closer than ever before to their favorite teams and athletes. The SportsBUZZ program was developed by athletes for athletes and their fans. Unlike any other social media program, website or mobile application, SportsBUZZ provides sports fans with inside access to their favorite teams or athletes. Through its unique multimedia platform, professional athletes can now communicate directly with fans via text, picture, audio and video messages. The end result is an exclusive "members-only" community in which athletes and fans can interact in ways never before possible with athlete websites or traditional social media programs. "With SportsBUZZ, our members can follow their favorite team or athletes literally from the locker room to the living room, " said Ray Cohen, co-founder and CEO of BUZZNetworks. "They can get in on the inside of a player's life and perspectives on the game. All directly from the athletes themselves. Unedited. Uncut. Unclipped. It?s never been possible to be this close. Now it is." Cooley, Redskins star tight end and a co-founder of BUZZNetworks, said, "We wanted to build a better online bridge between athletes and fans. We wanted to create a place where athletes could be themselves and show their everyday personalities. I feel that fans deserve an open view of their favorite players, and I think SportsBUZZ is the perfect platform to help players do that. I believe the program is cutting edge in professional sports." On SportsBUZZ, athletes have their own personally-branded web pages, where they can communicate directly to their fans, in their own words and in whatever format they want. Along with being able to view this content online, members of the fan community can also download the free SportsBUZZ mobile application where they can effortlessly send text comments, videos, audios or pictures to athletes they have chosen to follow. The SportsBUZZ application can be accessed for free by members of the SportsBUZZ community and is currently available on the iPhone (available soon on Blackberry and Android phones). SportsBUZZ is a licensed partner of the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA), and currently has six NFL teams and 60 athletes in its exclusive athlete community.
