Palm Canyon Apartments

Only been living here for less than a month and I found out that the apartments have bedbugs! I was not allowed to look at the apartment before move in day because someone else was still living here. When I did move in, they were NOT visible which makes the paper we sign in the lease invalid. Bed bugs lay dormant up to 60 days and "come alive" again when they sense a human present. Even though there is no way I brought them into this apartment, the apartment complex is making ME pay for the treatment which is well over $400. Even more so, the apartment complex has not offered to let me stay in a vacant apartment until the elimination of the bed bugs is complete.

Parking is a nightmare. If someone parks in your assigned spot anytime when the managers are not in their office, you can't do anything until the next day. And by the time you realize you have to park somewhere else, the open parking spots are all taken because there are so few. Security is a joke. The gates are ALWAYS broken and constantly open. Even then, the walls of the gates are so low that it's ridiculously easy for someone to jump them.

Even past the bed bug problem, the managers at this apartment complex are very rude and think that they are better than everyone else. When we were looking at apartments, the managers here were asking so many questions about the other places we were looking at and saying things that were trashing other apartments, some in which I have friends living at. The accusations the managers here were saying were completely uncalled for and not anywhere near the truth.

The managers here need to realize that we, the tenants, are their guests and that they want us to enjoy living here and recommend it to other people. So far, they have not given me one good reason to recommend this to ANYONE. Don't live here please.

WORST APARTMENTS I HAVE EVER LIVED IN!! WE TRY TO MOVE IN BUT THE APARTMENT WASN'T READY, SO WE ENDING PAYING HOTEL AND MOVE A WEEK AFTER AND STILL WASN'T CLEAN!!! THE APT WAS INFESTED WITH COCKROACHES, I WOULD ALWAYS TELL OFFICE ABOUT IT, HOWEVER, THEY WOULD PRETEND TO PUT MY NAME ON THE PEST CONTROL LIST BUT PEST CONTROL NEVER MADE IT TO MY APT! HAVING 3 KIDS IS THE WORSE!, EXTREMELY LOUD NEIGHBORS AND ALWAYS GETTING HIGH AND DRUNK, POLICE CAME TWICE A WEEK. STAFF IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED! VERY RUDE, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT NOTHING EVEN THE MAIL WAS LOST. MANAGER WAS NEVER THERE, WOULD LEAVE MESSAGES FOR HER TO VOICE MY COMPLAINTS, HOWEVER SHE NEVER RETURNED THE CALLS AND EMAILS! WE MOVE OUT A WEEK BEFORE AND WEEK LATER THEY ARE CHARGING ME EXTREMELY HIGH COST ON ELECTRICITY, WATER AND FEES FOR EARLY TERMINATION. THERE IS SO MANY PROBLEMS AT THIS PROPERTY STAFF, MAINTENANCE, MANAGEMENT, SECURITY, PEST INFESTATIONS, LANDSCAPING ALWAYS OVERGROWN, PARKING LOT LIGHTING, ETC. DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE APARTMENTS AT ALL!!!!!!!! PLEASE DO A FAVOR TO YOUR SELF AND COMMUNITY AND DON'T RENT THIS PLACE... WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS COMPANY AND THE WAY THEY PLAY WITH FAMILIES LIVES.

Water gets shut off A LOT with out notice. I arrived to move in and found the apartment very dirty. I contacted management and was told they would clean the apartment immediately. I came back the next day and found the apartment in the same dirty condition. I spent 7 hours cleaning up the apartment just to get it move-in ready. Mind up I just had emergency gallbladder surgery 4 days before. You have to turn in broken or maintenance problems multiple times and then they may or may not fix the problem. The employees are rude the campus is unsafe, and dirty. My apartment had plug ins hanging out of the wall by the wires and took me 3 months and threatening to call the fire dept. the get it fixed. It took me 1year 1month to get a set of blinds fixed that were broken from before we moved in. It took us 9 months and 15 repair tickets to get our dryer repaired. When it came time to renew our lease they upped our rent. now normally apartments will lower the rent amount for longer leases. NOT THESE APARTMENTS!!!! This place wanted to charge us the same amount no matter how long of a lease you want to sign. We are moving out ASAP. The apartment charged a friend that moved out a lot of money for falsified claims. I will add to this review if they do the same to us.
