Cottonwood Creek Apartments

This apartment complex is the worst that I have ever had the misfortune of staying in, and I've lived in both a dormitories and a barracks before. Both were far superior, and I didn't think I'd ever live in a place worse than either. This complex is clearly taking advantage of people who want to live near the university, because if they did not have that going for them they could never get away with being as terrible as they are and costing as much as they do.



The good:

- The area looks nice.

- The units look nice.

- Tenets are friendly.

- Close to the university.



The bad:

- Rent is high due to being near the university.

- The staff is either friendly and completely unhelpful, or hostile and still completely unhelpful.

- Repairs will not be performed if maintenance doesn't agree it needs to be. You will be argued with, and it will not be friendly. You will not be spoken to respectfully.

- No hot water. If you try to get it fixed, you'll be told it is as hot as it can get. The temperature barely exceeds body temperature.

- AC works poorly, but runs all day and jacks up your utility bill.

- Heater works poorly, but runs all day and jacks up your utility bill.

- Upon leaving you'll be nickel and dimed so that your deposit does not need to be returned. You may even be billed instead of receiving your deposit. If you are billed, it will be in the form of a threat. Part of the charges you'll receive may be due to maintenance you could not convince them needed to be performed prior to your terminating your lease.
