If you need to sell gold or diamonds Precious Metals Refinery is definitely the place to go. I went to several other places previously but was not always pleased with the service. Some jewelers were simply rude. But I received pleasant and excellent service from Douglas Palmer at the Eastside location. He was informative and pleasant to work with and weighed the gold right in front of you rather than going out of sight and as a GIA appraiser himself, was quickly able to determine the age of the diamond and the specific unusual cut. The price he offered was fair on market value. I also had a very unusual ring that he took on consignment. It was an enjoyable experience.
Caldwell is THE place to go. Trust is paramount when it comes to buying anything, especially something like an expensive watch or fine jewelry, which is likely to become a family heirloom. I trust no one except Caldwell. They made a piece for me which is gorgeous, they check, clean, and regularly maintain everything I own, and they appraised my pieces for insurance as well. Consistent good advice, creative suggestions for repurposing old pieces, and they're honest! Don't get sucked in by other places that say "wholesale" or unknown online sellers...you have no idea what you're getting until it's too late.
The only trustworthy reliable shop in town. I took my jewelry, coins and watches that I inherited to several shops in town. Precious Metals paid me far more than anyone else. They have private buying rooms that are comfortable and confidential. The other shops I was showing me jewelry over the counter and I didn't like other people seeing what I was taking out of my bag. Thank you again! They paid me over $7,000.00 more than the other shops I went to in town.
