The service at the Auto Doctor is always the best in town! These guys go above and beyond to take care of me every time I need work on my car. They always check everything and give me the option to fix things now or later. They get the job done right and always make me feel welcome and I know I can trust them! Doing business with them since we moved to Truckee in 2001. I am a loyal customer and wouldnt think of going anywhere else! AND you get candy!!! Thanks Auto Doc!!!!

The service we got at the Auto Doctor was incredible! They helped us after we broke down on I80 passing through Truckee. Not only did they get our car fixed in a timely manner, they helped my family with our dogs and kids and helped us get to a hotel for the night in town. Picked us up they next morning, and just really cared about making sure we were ok. THAT is service! Thank you Auto Dr!!!! You guys are the best!!!

Sunday wasn't the best day of my life. Having a mechanical breakdown on HWY 80 was pretty miserable. Fortunatly for me, ""The Auto & Tire Doctor"" was where the tow truck took my vehicle. The staff made everything easy, from the repair to the car rental recommendation. I REALLY like the chocolate kisses left for me in my truck. I hope I never need their services again, but if I do, I know I will be well taken care of!
I took my vehicle into this place to have my studded snow tires mounted, since I had purchased them there. I received a call from the owner around 3 pm, telling me that I really should replace my front brakes. What he neglected to tell me was that he intended to change my front loaded calipers and rotors without informing me and getting my authorization. When I went to pick up my car up, the bill was $623! Although the owner has admitted that there was a "communication error", this shop has yet to make the situation right. They have offered credit to me for unauthorized work on my vehicle, but the amount offered is not sufficient, since NONE of the items put on my car were ordered or approved.

I took my vehicle to this place to have my studded snow tires mounted, since I purchased them there. Later that afternoon, I received a call from the owner (John) telling me that I really needed to replace my front brakes. I told him I had just had my brakes inspected 4 weeks earlier, and my regular mechanic told me I still had 25%-35% pad left, but told him to go ahead and change them since the car was already at the shop. My bill was $623. This ""RIP-OFF"" shop put front loaded calipers and rotors on my car without my knowledge, or permission. As of today, the owner (John) has offered me $250 credit, but this is unsatisfactory considering the work was never requested, nor authorized. I fully intend to pursue legal action against them, and will also file complaints with any applicable consumer reporting agency in an attempt to get the word out. This guy even tried to lie and tell me after the fact that he had informed me what work needed to be done. This was AFTER Bob had already called to offer me $200 credit for unauthorized work on the car. Do NOT take a vehicle to them! You will be treated in a similar manner, then threatened with their little ""scare tactics"", and left feeling COMPLETELY RIPPED OFF! \r \r
