Let me start off by saying I have never met either of you .. Recently one of my very good friends sister came in to get a tattoo at "your shop" from what she was told I am a "crack head" I was chased out of Traverse City for "ratting"on John Savage, I gave people staff infections among other things .. I will tell you this I have never "ratted" on anyone in my entire life, it would be public knowledge and on record if I did. I was not as you've been telling people chased out of Traverse City. And I have never touched crack in my life .. I would have figured that the people who own a shop that's been around for so long wouldn't be in the business of slander and defamation of character. I am still in business and defamation of character is a serious offense and you can be sued for it. You need to cease and desist immediately or I will be forced to take legal action. I don't know if there is a intimidation factor at play and that's why you feel the need to slander my name? Everyone Ive talked to about this thinks its just bad business. If you want to know the truth about what you've been saying .. #1 I left Traverse City because I met a woman and moved to Florida with her #2 John Savage and I don't talk because he started dating my ex-girlfriend..#3 I have never touched smoked or even seen a crack rock .. I am moving back to Traverse City very soon and I am going to opening another Tattoo & Piercing Studio. Ive never slandered your shop or the people who work there I find this completely unacceptable. I shouldn't even have to explain myself, but due to your slander I felt the need to clarify this for you and anyone else you have slandered my name to. VIC

Don't Just Hire The Guy on the corner to Tattoo

My husband had Al or Allen do an elbow piece, omg it was horrific! The lines weren't even close to strait, he went way to deep! We were getting matching tattoos,well mine looks decent,my husbands is terrible! John tried to fix it but it still looks like hell(it's not really fixable)I mean this is a serious thing you would think they wouldn't just hire any Joe Shmoe off the street!

I have been going to this shop for five years and they are the most honest and hard woring people. Yes john will be bult with his options but he has the experience to do so.

John Ritchie is a con artist to say the least! His prices are beyond crazy & the work itself is standard at best. On the other hand, his wife Marie is the most knowledgeable piercer in Northern MI. If you want piercings, go see Marie. If you want great work by nationally publicized artists, go to Front Street Tattoo & ask for Timm Talcot or Mike (Owner)

BEST PLACE IN TOWN!
BEST PLACE IN TOWN! I got my nose pierced here my Marie and she was fabulous! I am 18 and she talked me through the whole process WHILE teaching me about sterilization and what to look for at other parlors. She gave me the correct sea salt to use and a very colorful and information brochure that explained everything. Plus, the price was better than anywhere else I had found in TC. No doubt about it, would go back here in a heartbeat. Her and my mom also got along and she was incredibly friendly. I can't say enough good things about this place!

went to traverse city to see a friend about 2 years ago to see a friend.she asked me to check out this tattoo palor,first time i walked in it felt like i've been there before.this guy walk's up to me shakes my hand an said hi my name is john i'm the owner...what can i do foe you ?told him the story about my friend that she wanted a tattoo but was not sure about the palor,the was clean,the people were great.bottom line is the next day i was back in the shop for a tattoo of a wizzard on my right forarm three hours in the chair.nodoubt one of the best tattoo's on my body. john if i can figure out how to put picture's on this thing i will................ john thanks again russ

Lesson Learned
I also have had a tattoo by John. I have alot of tats and I like to get them done from different people. John did a good job but he tried really hard to put my tattoo where he wanted it. I understand why he did that, but he could have went about it in a better way. Customers come in your shop with an image already in their heads. Yes it is Johns job to make sure it looks right and to do that it has to be in the right spot to make it look right. But a little bit of kindness and manners go a long way. Treat your customers with respect or they won't come back. My opinion John is to old for tattoos, he needs to retire and oversee the shop.

naver ever had a problem with them, four tattoos and two peircings and never had a problem. i recommend them to all my friends. and they have never had a problem either

I thought they were better than that.
although they were clean. I got this weird vieb from the guys that were there. I got my tattoo under my good friends recomondation. I should have never gone there. my tattoo was taking a long time to heel and was kind of bumped out and also i was looking at it and it is way not were i wanted it so thats when I thought cover up so I went to Perfect Tattoo and got my cover done and they told me that the guy at pour boyz went way to deep and thats why it took so long for it to heel . I love my cover up though It took me alot more money than I thought it would but at leased i found the write tattoo shop go to Perfect Tattoo If you want a tattoo.

I HAVE WENT TO JOHN AND MARIE FOR MY PIERCINGS AND HAVE HAD LOTS OF FRIENDS GO THERE AND COME OUT WITH GREAT TATTOO'S! IT SHOCKS THAT YOU SAID THAT THE BUMPS CAME BECUASE THE ARTIST WENT TO DEEP WITH THE NEEDLE. I WOULD THINK THE NEEDLE CAN ONLY GO SO DEEP AND I DON'T FEEL THE "BUMPS" CAME FROM THE NEEDLE GOING TO DEEP! AFTERCARE REALLY HAS ALOT TO DO WITH THE WAY YOUR TAT HEALS AND LOOKS AFTERWARDS! ALSO, WHY WASN'T THE TATTOO WHERE YOU WANTED IT EXACTLY? THE ARTIST GOES ON WHAT YOU TELL THEM AND IF IT WAS "JOHN" I DOUBT HE WOULD PUT IT IN ANOTHER PLACE THEN WHAT YOU WANTED???? I'M SURE PERFECT TATTOO IS AN ALRIGHT PARLOR TO, BUT KEEP IN MIND, (for you next piece) THAT IT IS BUSINESS AND IS COMPETIVE, SO PEOPLE WILL TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR! AND TO KNOW THAT WHEREVER YOU GO IN LIFE AND HAVE YOU TATTOOS, PIERCES OR HAIR DONE, THEY ARE ARTISTS AND BEAUTICIANS, NOT MAGICIANS!
