Mountain Mist Cabin

STAY FAR AWAY FROM MOUNTAIN MIST CABINS!!!!
The drive up to it is so bad we tried 3 times to make it up to no avail. We had to back down the graveled S-curves in the dark and hope we didn’t slide off the mountains edge. We had to turn off the A/C and roll down the windows to give the car more power to get up the driveway. By then with all the dust, I could not breathe and was having an anxiety attack. I had a choice to walk up the rest of the way in the dusty air or stay in the car with dusty air and hope to not fall off the mountain. I choose to walk or crawl if I had to. The owner didn’t even try to help me with my oxygen tank to get up to the porch chair. I thought I was going to pass out. He then turned to walk away While I’m begging him, “please, don’t leave me. Open the door”. So I could get in out of the dust. Instead, he looks at me then walks away to go drive the car up for us creating more dust in my face. The owner came back the next morning to grade the driveway with his road-grader. While I was reading the cabin’s journal one night, I read a page about someone that got stuck in the driveway with a 4X4.
We stayed 3 nights (10/3/17-10/5/17) in "Ole Smokey" and I knew I was not going to live if I stayed the whole 8 days (booked and paid for). That cabin is so dusty and moldy I could not breathe. The dust hangs off of everything and has built up between the wood planks used for the interior walls with no fill-in between them. My guess is they are letting the dust and mold fill it in. The black mold is so thick when I used a damp paper towel to wipe off the glass of a picture framed on the wall it turned black. My friend started having heart problems so bad we had to get help to move out of there. The owner would not give us any refund. He said, “Needs the funds to pay for the taxes”. He could see I was on oxygen when we arrived and should not have been staying in that bad of place to start with. Our wonderful minister told us to get out anyway and paid for us to stay in another place, Luxbury Motel (nice place) in Maryville. We missed being close to the rest of our church family but at least we would live.
The person responsible for cleaning Mountain Mist Cabins has health problems. Wonder why?
