I am probably the least qualified person to review a beauty salon. But I had such a good experience today thought I should share. Normally I look for a barber poll. They have those magazines on the table, and sports on TV... with bad reception. The pictures on the wall are all, well, the same: brush cuts. And the coffee is cold. The difference between a good and bad cut is - 2 weeks. I will be traveling out of town for a job interview, so I want to look my best. My caregiver (ha, that's what she was!) for my salon experience (ha, that's what I call a haircut here!) was the lovely and gracious Saida. She speaks English, French, and Arabic, and does hair fluently as well. I told Saida I want a cut that doesn't make me look "fancy," won't get messed up, I want to comb it once in the morning and that's it for the day. And I don't want a brush cut. She said, "Oh you want a business Man's cut!" That's what I got, and boy do I look gooood. My Signora won't let me leave for work tomorrow. Saida's salon is clean (I notice these things) and she is just a delight. Give her a chance. Tell her the Italian business man sent you

It was four days before my wedding, and I still needed to get my hair colored and highlighted and get my nails and a pedicure. So I searched ylocal and came across a great review and comments for this salon. Based off that review and great comments I went ahead and scheduled myself a 1st time appt. with them. My stylist, Lam was really great. The salon itself was great as well. I just told my stylist what I wanted to do for my hair and nails, and she pulled it off beautifully. I was unsure about the color or cut of my hair, however I told her what I had in mind and she said she she had an idea of what would look best on me. I totally loved the outcome. She was very nice and talking to her it felt like we were old friends. I forgot to get the lady's name who did my pedicure, but she was super cool as well. I would definitely recommend this salon to my friends and family. The prices were really great for what I had done. This was my first time with this salon and I had a great experience.
I cant wait for this shop to open. Julio is a talented barber who worked at my last barber shop. I know a couple of the guys that are going to work here. Very respectful and nice. I would always have a pleasant experience when Id go into the old shop. I stopped by this place thinking it was open and it wasnt. It looks like its coming out exceptionally well. Plasmas on the wall.. and i loved the lounge room which is seperate to the main customer area. The guys were nice enough to give me a tour and I checked out the back area where it looks like a nightclub. They got a pool table and lots of video game stuff. To my surprise its right in front of Keegans my local pub. I usually go in to get a regular cut but mainly a hot towel shave and it usually pretty hard to find a place that uses those old school razors. These guys use that straight razor and usually get my goatee very straight. I cant wait for them to open so that I can stop going to this oriental place by my house. - Doug
