This is a small Taiwanese restaurant right across Ramen Hayatemaru. Tiny rear parking or you can park on the street. Very friendly service! The boss (Older lady) will actually come out and talk to the customers (She could speak Mandarin, English and Japanese!), for greeting or asking the dining experience. Ice Oolong tea was served free during lunch time. Food tastes were descent. We had the Pig leg dish, Hainan chicken rice, beef noodle soup and the spicy sour soup. I was impressed by the super soft texture of the pig leg, so as the beef tendon from the beef noodle soup. All dish were very well seasoned and some were a bit too salty. P.S. They also sell home made frozen dumplings for about $15 (50 pieces per bag). I would also like to try their XLB next time.

You walk into a small restaurant and feel at home; if not the first time probably by the second time. Some nights a pianist plays while you dine but always there is delicious food carefully prepared. The cheeses are made in southern California especially to the owner's taste so the three cheese filled pasta is a joy to someone with a palate that can taste subltle flavors. A real treasure this restaurant.
If spending some time and eating your way through Italy makes you a critic on Italian restaurants, well then I'm one. Food was superb. Ravioli choices with sauces were varied and I tried them all. All were hits. There is some outside construction going on that detracts from the ambiance but it is only temporary. If you want a little bit of Italy, visit Il Toscano.
