I have been sending my son there for several months. I have seen him do nothing but flourish and grow, he is excited about school everyday. Its everything I expect from a Pre-K, he's learning so much including manners, songs and sweet prayers. Even trying food he normally would eat! He is proud to share everything with the family everyday! The facility is very clean and sanitized daily. I've unexpectedly shown up a few times and everything was perfect. I love getting the daily reports and daily artwork! He was in a home daycare, which was fine for the money, but I will gladly pay a little extra for good care, education, attention and healthy food. Oh and FYI, last time I checked they don't have 7 year old children at the daycare, thats why its "pre-k". They handle all the toddler drama respectably and let each parent know if something happened. the "thinking chair" (time out) and the principals office are enforced. I have no complaints.

I read some of the reviews, and I felt compelled to leave my own comment. I have been attending Good News Church for the past 6 months, and I have found the church to be very warm and focused on loving people. Most every Sunday, Gordon, the pastor makes the effort to stop by and chat with me about how I'm doing and he always seems to remember what I've been up to even though he probably does this with a hundred other people. I enjoy the services and the community of Christians who really seem to open up to visitors. The music is also amazing, and the worship leader, Josh is a great guy too. If you are interested in finding a church in Topeka, I would recommend Good News church. This church is worth definitely worth defending from those negative comments.
have been attending this church for a few months now and think I have really found a home here! I do not have friends or family outside of my spouse and child here in Topeka and this church has not only allowed me to be me but has also opened up the door to several opportunities to make life long friendships. My child also attends preschool here 5 days a week and I have never seen him grow and flourish as much as he is here! The place has its share of issue but you try running place whose sole reason for existing is to expand the minds of young children and tell me how easy you found it to be! I see my child staying at The Rock until kindergarten starts next fall and I see my spouse and continuing to attend this church indefinitely.
