The company supplies foundry coke for the insulation, foundry and sugar beet industries throughout the United States and Canada. Its facilities are spread over an area of more than 188 acres. Tonawanda Coke Corporation generates metallurgical-grade coal that is transported through an internal rail system that comprises of nearly 5 miles of track. Its facilities can stock up to 60,000 tons of coal. Additionally, the company has developed and holds patent for a cast modular block process that is utilized in oven end flue repair and replacement that reduces associated costs.
