Make sure you get Paloma. Within one minute of talking to me, she easily sensed my style and vibe. She chose great dresses to try on and made sure each one looked stunning when I stepped out to show my friend. She has a talent for reading people and is so sweet and genuine at the same time. After looking at a few places, I really must say the shop itself was awesome. It's pretty inside, with a boutique feel, great lighting, windows, lots of full mirrors and places for trying on without crowding other brides. Often, I've seen shops with huge selections but with unattractive shops/warehouse feel or the flip side, stunning storefronts but limited selections or outrageous price points. This was worth a visit since you have the boutique feel inside, but with a nice selection and price. Paloma was kind, professional (she confirmed my appointment and was so professional, yet personal at all times during the fitting) and she made it an enjoyable experience. The only downside to this is that drinks are not allowed by the owner. So, no mimosas or champagne...unless you find the dress, then the owner may allow it. That said, Paloma's grace, charm and genuine interest in you looking great for your big day made up for any lack of beverages. I could go on and on about her. The dresses were gorgeous and at decent price ranges. We were impressed with the variety of designers and PALOMA!
How can people be so crude. The store just opened. So when you get your dress from the internet, let me try it on.? You probably spent some good money on it, and you too would like nothing to happen to it. All these early reviews look to be slanderous. Looks as if other bridal shops trying to kill the competition. Would you rather have the bridal shop tell you that dress doesn't look good on you or your friends? As far as the owner/manager how do you know its a her, seems as if you have a problems with authority, or old bosses. Do you know if the alleged was not just fallowing company policies, and decided to remedy it by opening a shop for themselves. Think before you post. I personal have not gone but plan to give any independent shop a chance. Update to latest review Obviously the store owner made a wise choice on not hiring this individual. This person who made this off the cuff review single handedly ruined there son or husbands chance of a good start in this business. When you have a chance you can invest your money and start your own business and higher whom ever you like. Most employers merely agree to see if the person qualifies for the intended position, and you do what is right for the business. Race and gender is a false blame today's society is too divers and have equal opportunity.
I came to Destiny Bridal after my sister-in-law recommended Maria to me. My sister-in-law went to Destiny Bridal for her wedding (well, to Maria since it was before their grand opening) and told me that Maria (the owner) was wonder. I was not disappointed. From the moment I stepped into the store, I felt absolutely welcomed. Both she and her staff were wonderful and understanding. I had been to half a dozen other bridal stores in town and every time I told them what I was looking for, they tried to dissuade me from the style I wanted. Not at Destiny Bridal. Though they did not have the dress that I wanted to try (because it is from next spring's line and it hasn't yet been released), they promised to order it right away in time for my wedding in March. The set up in the store is great. It's not overly cluttered or disorganized. The salespersons know their dresses and accessories and understand a bride's needs. I felt very at ease explaining what I liked and didn't like. I felt no pressure to purchase anything and was given all the time I needed to try on dresses that I actually liked. The customer service was excellent. I would absolutely recommend Destiny Bridal to anyone. I have personally worked with Maria and Marilyn and I had not a single complaint.
