The Sportsmen Cafe has a nice atmosphere and good food. Due to circumstances out of their control, the restaurant is swamped by oil field workers morning noon and night. The prices are noticeably high for the value. They do have a decent salad bar (excluding the most important part, the lettuce, which is shredded) which has fresh carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, watermelon, etc. That alone is worth a full star. I cheat and order a steak dinner which includes salad bar, then fill up and take my steak home with me. Do not expect quick, attentive service. They are drastically understaffed and overworked. Again, this I do not hold against the restaurant because it is like this all over North Dakota service industry. Just not enough people to go around now. The locals will tell you that the pizza varies from delicious to out of this world (my diet won't allow me to confirm). Good place for breakfast but I would send you to the 42 Grill for lunch.
