Torres' Cajun Swamp Tours

Excellent! Boat guide Rolan has been doing this for years and is truly authentic. The tour itself was great; saw over a dozen alligators and Rolan was happy to answer all our questions about the swamp itself and his experiences growing up there. Well worth the hour drive outside New Orleans.

A great swamp tour by a local who's spent many years in these bayous. Roland Torres, the owner and tour guide, is very personable and knowledgable about all things bayou. He regaled us with a number of stories of his own adventures growing up. We were looking for a swamp tour last minute as mis-information meant missing a different reservation and stumbled across his tour on our last hope. I don't think we would've found a better guide, and certainly not for the price. One tour wanted $55 for a tour- paid Roland $15 a piece, and gave us a free drink at the end! His spot is a little further away from New Orleans than other tours, but it's absolutely worth it! If you go, ask him to tell you the story of the guy who regretted asking him to bust some poachers.
