Sleep Disorders
Thibodaux Regional Health System’s accredited Sleep Disorders Center performs both at-home sleep apnea testing as well as testing in our state-of-the-art Center. The Center has four hotel-like bedrooms with private bathrooms, state-of-the-art computerized monitoring technology, two patient evaluation and examination rooms, and a reception area. The Center features a relaxing environment so that patients may unwind as they would at home.

Emergency Care
Upon arrival in the Emergency Department, you will be greeted and checked in by our medical personnel. A registered nurse will perform a triage assessment, obtain a brief medical history to evaluate your symptoms, and collect information about medications you may currently be taking. This triage process serves to assess the severity of your condition. Patients are not seen based upon time or order of arrival. Treatment will be customized for you based on your needs.
Electrocardiogram
The Emergency Department providers (physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners) may order tests, such as blood tests, EKG, or x-rays to help determine the nature and extent of your problem. Please be aware that it will take additional time for these tests to be performed and analyzed prior to determining your appropriate treatment. During this time, a medical scribe assisting your providers will continuously check-in with you to ensure that your needs are met, while providing you updates.

Labor and Delivery
Thibodaux Regional received this award for its patient safety initiative for Labor & Delivery patients. Through implementation of evidence-based protocols, the number of labor inductions overall and for first-time mothers, as well as the number of primary Cesarean Sections was reduced. These improvements have resulted in more favorable and safer delivery experiences for mothers and their newborns.

Thibodaux Regional is the first in the region to offer 3D Mammography with Artificial Intellegience (AI). The Senographe Pristina with Profound AI digital mammography system has significantly impacted breast cancer diagnosis and patient care. ProFound AI is a revolutionary artificial intelligence breast cancer detection solution, clinically proven to identify malignant masses and calcifications. Through the use of this advanced technology, women are benefiting from increased diagnostic accuracy and precision in the detection of breast cancer. Greater accuracy means fewer false-positive results and a decreased need for unnecessary additional testing and exposure to radiation.
Computed Tomography
Another advancement in cancer care at the Thibodaux Regional Imaging Center is the GE Discovery 690 PET/CT scanner. The scanner combines the advanced technology of both low-dose positron emission tomography (PET) and 64-slice computed tomography (CT) scans. PET scans are used to capture images of cells that interact with special radioactive material to identify cancerous clusters, while CT scans are special types of X-rays that produce detailed photos of internal structures such as the heart, lungs, brain, blood vessels, and bones. Integrating these forms of imaging allows both tests to be performed simultaneously, saving the patient and physician time. It also produces the two images perfectly fused, which aids physicians who formerly had to look at and compare separate scans. PET/CT is beneficial in staging, re-staging, and treatment planning for cancer patients.

Physical Therapy
Pain Management physicians with Thibodaux Regional Pain Clinic utilize a variety of approaches including physical therapy, spinal cord stimulation, spinal injections in the lumbar, cervical and thoracic vertebrae, and sympathetic nerve blocks.
