Shawsheen Animal Hospital

Shawsheen is incredible. Staffed with knowledgeable support staff and veterinarians who do everything they can to assess your pet's current situation. They are a hospital that is on the cutting edge of veterinary medicine and pride themself on staying up to date with the most current array of treatments and therapies available to veterinary medicine. The doctors work as a team to check and double check all possibilities for your pet. And while they practice best medicine by making all appropriate recommendations for your pet, they do not push them upon you. The staff and doctors are underatanding of financial responsibilities when it comes to your pets and when you cannot pursue all that they recommend, they work with you to provide quality care for your pet regardless. The staff does try to be informative and educational when dicussing recommendations but they are not pushy, they simply explain why a test is being recommended. I couldn't be happier with the care my pets receive at Shawsheen and I would never want to take them to see anyone else!!

I agree with Kira, they suck you in appearing to care, then they hit you with tests and exams your pet doesn't need. If you balk at the cost they get aggravated and attempt to make you feel like a bad pet owner because you can't afford all the tests. I asked for them to write the script for my dogs meds so I could see if it would be cheaper at the pharmacy, they wrote it in my dogs name which meant I couldn't fill it at my pharmacy. You'd think they'd want to keep you satisfied and try to help you, but instead they stick it to you! Not a happy customer!

I felt very pressured and bullied to purchase the meds and pet food (in large quantities, when this is just a trial!) . I'm looking for a new animal hospital.

I highly recommend Shawsheen! I have had nothing but positive, friendly interactions with all the staff and doctors. They take great care of my animals and are very upfront with costs and my options for treatment. I am very happy I found Shawsheen!

They are the worst vet in Tewksbury. Over priced, tehy could care less, they are all a bout marketing and having your pet go throug useless exams and they try tp pressure you into so many expensive things you pet does not need. There are alot of people who have written great reviews in the beginning of going to this vet, As I have myself, then they change. If you question prices or you ask why you pet needs a scan that he might not need, they have an attitude. They misdiagnose and they don't even give you the best trwatments out there, they are not state of the art like they claim to be. They are super super friendly at first to reel you in. I thought they were the best ever, and boy did I found out the hard way. It wasn't until I asked around that ALOT OF PEOPLE shared the same experience as I. You may love them and they may love you, if you have alot of money to spend and don't care, otherwise if you are on a budget or having tough times, they DONOT WORK WITH YOU. I think they are the worst vet i have ever been too. More like Shawsheen scam clinic. I wish anyone luck, but heed my warning, they are mean when you question certain things.
