Overall
Arrive with an APPETITE!

We stopped at Crazy Buffet en route from Evansville, IN to Chicago, IL. It's a little less than half way and we decided on a late lunch. We have a Crazy Buffet in Evv., but I've never tried it. After trying the Terre Haute location, I hope ours is just as delicious, filling and tasty.

Favorites: Green bean & onion salad, crab rangoon, pork skewers, pork stir fry with veggies, excellent and varied selection of sushi (both raw and cooked), a very good seaweed salad, sweet & sour chicken and pork, egg drop soup, General Tso's chicken and help-yourself Edy's ice-cream (you dip it) -- including GREEN TEA flavoried ice cream, which is the perfect end to a great Chinese buffet.

Don't Miss: The expansive dessert bar (in addition to the Edy's ice cream), with several different cakes and desserts to appeal to chocoholics and fruit fans alike.

No so favorite: the only-average salad bar with iceberg lettuce and the expected veggies and salad dressings, so-so (and cold) fruit cobbler, not much variety. But then again: I went in there specifically for the Chinese food and was not disasppointed.

Nice, attentive service, clean tables, serving ware and quick replacements of food that ran out.

I didn't pay for lunch, so I can't assess the value. I don't know what a buffet for adults costs, I am guessing around $7??? My sister left $25, including tip, for three meals.

Will be driving through Terre Haute again in two weeks and definitely will NOT eat breakfast before I go. Crazy Buffet, here we come again! I hope the CB here in my own hometown does not disappoint.
