I personally think it is an abomination that such a wonderful Mexican restaurant in the valley has closed down and I mean all of its location personally I thought the quality the money for my value was awesome the quality of food the quality of the staff and the people that work there they knew you by name and I just I cannot fathom why they were just up and leave the valley when I always a hustle and bustle in these locations you know all the good Mexican restaurants have left the valley and its just its just I just don't understand why and if the restaurant we come back to the valley they would see that the customers miss the great quality Mexican food that this establishment and all establishments created... the employees made u feel like they took pride in their work!!! Your company also created jobs in the valley and when you just up and left all of a sudden because you sold out to a bigger company it has hurt the Arizona economy and it hurts the people most who enjoyed your products.... I have been in the restaurant industry for more than 25 years and personally I knew what was good tasting food and quality and now that you have left the valley I have to make my own Mexican food and it just doesn't compare thank you Pro
My wife and I were driving up Scottsdale road to Scottsdale and saw La Fonda Mexican restaurant just past the 202, so we stopped in for lunch....WOW...um,um, good! We both had the house Margarita, cost $5.50, and worth it....very good. I had the Guacamole and Bean Tostada, also very good, though it was messy to eat with such generous stacks of fresh stuff on it...I added salsa left from the free salsa and chips (also very good) and some hot sauce and salt and loved it, but I did go through four napkins. Donna ordered the small Nachos, which she couldn't stop raving about, so I helped her finish them, and I couldn't stop raving about them to her. We could have easily split the Nachos, as we both said we ate too much. The Nachos also had generous portions of Guacamole and beans and cheese etc and we can't wait to go back. Donna also had a diet coke and the whole bill, including a $5 tip, was $31.70, which was really our big meal for the day. Highly recommended. Don & Donna
#5 plate never fails to please...service is slow, sometimes, especially when u order Menudo, why? IDK...Richard, the server is outstanding!!! I've never tasted the guacamole, so I can't say if its bad or good....but I realize, it is a family restaurant, but who wants kids running all over, climbing all over everything...its the owners grandkids, we were told, even so, GET A BABYSITTER!!!
