This is in response to Jack C. and his critic below. I am one of the owners here and was very involved with your quote and events that day. I am unsure of the "bait and switch" you are referring to unless you are talking about having us come to get your pieces only to find out they were damaged and not in the condition you promised they were. You did send me pictures, the bed was actually one of the most beautiful beds I have seen and I was very excited to bring it to our store and sell it for you. I am not interested in paying my movers, paying for gas in the truck and for everyone's time and then end up with nothing. But that was what happened. In my emails, I provide a long list of what we can and cannot take. In that list it states we cannot accept items that are damaged - your bed had a crack straight down the middle of the headboard. If also says we cannot accept items that are makeshift to fit your piece - the bed frame did not even match the bed itself. I cannot accept money from clients for a bed that is cracked and will probably not be able to be put together after they purchase it. It is very unfortunate we have sites out here on the internet world that allow people to post maliciously with half truths. This is a family business. This is our livelihood and we all work very hard to be a great addition to the South Tampa and Clearwater community. Shame on you, Jack.
This may be premature, but so far, my experience with Hudson's has been fantastic. I had a salesperson who was very helpful, and very patient and accommodating. I've been in the store twice in the last 4 days, and I have had all my questions, concerns and requests promptly answered. Thus far, I have no complaints whatsoever; and I was able to find everything I needed there. That being said, I have not yet received my purchased furniture because I'm not due to receive it until the end of May. I don't know if it will indeed arrive on time, or what condition it may be in when it does. It is my hope that both things will end well, of course. At this time, however, my experience with Hudson's has been all positive; and hopefully will remain so. And, based on that, I would recommend them highly. When the time comes for me to receive my furniture, and if it arrives in the expected good condition, I will follow up with a full and favorable review. If not, then I will return with a full and unfavorable update to this review. I, too, have dealt with "Rooms to Go" in the past, and it was nightmare that I hope doesn't repeat itself with Hudson's. Juxtapose has quickly become my favorite store in Tampa! They've introduced me to my new favorite designers - Milly, Tracy Reese and Erin Fetherson. The merchandise selection is one of kind and unique and I challenge you to find their items anywhere else in Tampa. They work very, very hard to ensure that the lines they carry are exclusive to them. I am a HUGE fan of their dresses (above mentioned designers are just a few in their portfolio. They have an amazing selection of Trina Turky. Their home decor is one of a kind, hand painted. I've purchased a dresser, bar stools and an end table. Just bought a new home and have my eye on so many other things like the framed, one of a kind artwork. Their jewelry is gorgeous. The shoes are to die for! Gift items galore! There's something at every price point and for ever budget. I seriously spend a quarter of my paycheck here last year and am going strong in 2013 - just purchased new Seven For All Mankind Jeans today! The owners are helpful, creative artists and specialize in home and interior design. One stop shop!
