Use YP's sizzling summer checklist to pack in as many backyard barbecues, family trips, and memorable outings as you can before the kids head back to school.
Atmosphere. Table and chairs for dinning and a nice bar also having cocktail tables. Several tv's and is comfortable and clean. Happy Hour starts at 11am 7 days. Shocktop only $2.00. Food. FREE CHIPS. First thing is a basket of complimentary home made potato chips and dip comes with the beers. These chips are better than the chips at Ceviche that cost four dollars. The Cheese Soup was made of quality cheddar and other types as well and was sharp in flavor. Shreaded cheese melted into the middle of the soup leaving lots of strings hanging off the spoon as you dip into this deliteful soup. The CheeseSteak because it is seasoned is better than most and full of flavor. The pork chop sandwich that we had time before, is also a good choice being fantastic. The Macaroni and Cheese is home style and is a must everytime. Don't pass it up. It comes is a ramikin out of the oven, hot and made with quality cheeses of several types. As a side or just two dollars. Wish it was available as a entree. A must everytime. Deep Fried Oreo Sundae. Cookies are battered and deep fried into a crispy crust. Served warm on top of a gaint dish of icecream with chocolate syrup. This is big and is nicely shared with a loved one. Ok. Just go there and enjoy. It is a sure thing everytime. Service. Always nicely prepared and served. I ordered a Wisconsin Cheese Soup. Jim brought us two spoons. Nice. I ordered a CheeseSteak and Jim brought it cut in two and each on its own plate. One for the wife and the other half on a plate for me. Again Jim served us very nicely and thoughtfully. Ask if a particular dark beer was on draft and he said no but he would charge draft price for a bottle of it. Again very nice. Don't know if that will happen everytime? The owner is hands on with the operation and it show up in every aspect of the restaurant, from the service to the food and the cleanliness. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED 5*****
Man Im so mad that this diner has escaped my culinary radar screen for this long! I have missed out on some really great food and meeting a really great staff. Had the burger this past Saturday along my wife and we had an order of fresh cut piping hot fries in an overfilled basket. All of it delicious! Met the owner Keith, a real genuinely nice guy. He spent a lot of the time making sure we were comfortable, well taken care of, and knew his philosophy and what Oakleys offered its customers. The Burger was simply amazing, hot juicy, stuffed with toppings and flavor. Fries were excellent and perfectly salted. I wasnt overly excited with the drinks offered, never a big fan of what I call "fake" tea, (Peak, Lipton, etc.) I love homemade southern sweet tea and at the level of food being presented here agt Oakleys it deserves better. So the food and experience was so good on Saturday I had to return with my wife and other family members and I had to try the Ribeye Philly Cheesesteak. It is easily the best cheesesteak I have ever experienced. We met the owners son Ryan, and Keith you can be very proud as he matched your level of service and communication with my family and other customers today. We are now going to be loyal frequent return customers and you are really missing the boat if you don't give Oakleys Grille a try. This is a platinum operation and taste for sure. Thank you Oakleys grille.
It's OK but ultimatly the food was bland, needs more seasoning and flavor. * A+ to F- Scale A+=Excellent,C=Standard,F- =Repulsive My opinion (Would not denigrate another person's hard work, food industry is hardest.), Quality: C-, ingredient's in Lana roll were little better than expected, curry puffs were low quality almost zero flavor. Salad was cheap iceberg lettuce with carrot shreddings, poorly matched peanut sauce, much more spices needed. Uniqueness: My first Thai restaurant. Convenience: C,Hours should be extended to 11:00 p.m. Service: C-, No utensils or napkins with my take away food.Difficult to understand servers elaborate menu options though they spoke English,I need to know what I am eating. Ambience: A,impressed well done. Presentation:B,I do enjoy eye appeal with my meal, makes food some how more pleasurable. Quantity: C,Plenty of menu options, sampler option would be popular, descriptions need to be present on all menu options and susinct. Price: D+, $4.50 for 1 standard 12oz bottle is not toleratable even if it is foreign beer.
