    Terrible Hospital DONT GO HERE

    Provided by

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!\r I recently went to this hospital after being treated elsewhere as a precautionary. Upon admitting to the ER the staff promised me that the bill would not exceed $100. This was very important to me because I am an unemployed college student. When I recieved the bill from the hospital it was nearly $1000 from the ER and $500 from the doctor who treated me there. All this was for a nebulizer and a chest x-ray. I've been trying to aduit the charges for 3 months now but everytime I try and contact a supervisor they are conviently at lunch or in a meeting. They outsourced their billing office to a company in nashville and they will harass you with constant phone calls without even reviewing your patients file. If you want to be scammed and be given the run-a-round go here. Everyone i have talked to that went here seems to end up with more problems than just their health.

    Worst hospital

    Provided by

This is by far the worst hospital in the Tampa Bay area. Unfortunately, I have had to visit the hospital on two separate occasions. The first time, I took my seven year old son to the ER for stitches. We waited for two hours as other patients (adults who arrived after us), were seen. When we were finally attended, we waited for another three hours for the doctor. The doctor that attended my son was very rough and inconsiderate. He applied the anesthesia and immediately began to stitch his finger, not allowing enough time for the anesthesia to take affect. He had no remorse for my son, who was screaming in agony.\r The second time, my seventy year old mother had been feeling ill, and her doctor advised to go to the ER. After waiting an entire day, we were shocked at a number of things. First of all, the doctor had not come to see her. They also weighed her incorrectly. I had to repeatedly ask the nurse to weigh her again as I knew the nurse was incorrect. This is a serious problem. I know that some medicine dosages are determined by the patient?s weight; this could have turned into a life threatening situation. She was also left with nothing to eat due to a test that had to be administered. I am aware that some tests require that the patient not have anything to eat or drink but, I would have thought that some priority would have taken place as my mother began to feel more ill because she had not eaten for a long period of time. After two days of deal with absolute horrible service, we simply left.\r Our experiences at this hospital have been extremely unpleasant. The staff lacks professionalism and consideration for their patients. I strongly suggest that the hospitals policies, procedures, and staff be evaluated. For these reasons, I will not recommend this hospital to anyone.
