Marine Warehouse Aquarium

I've been shopping at Marine Warehouse for almost a year. It is by far the BEST place in the Tampa Bay area to buy fish, any type of fishtank supplies, or advice on care and maintenance. This is a very popular place so there may be a bit of a wait to get assistance - but ITS WORTH IT!! I've never had any problems with any fish I've bought here and the inventory is excellent quality! I only buy my fish food here now and drive from Clearwater to get anything else I need. I no longer shop at any chain store because they were inconsistent and unreliable. Bryan and his team are all super knowledgeable and always provide excellent service - even though they know I'm very new at this hobby. Marine Warehouse is my go-to place for anything I need and I highly recommend them!

Set up two saltwater tanks and filled them with coral and fish from here. Love the quality of the coral and the large selection I can get.

Give these guys a break. They are always nice when I come in there and seem to know their stuff. Sometimes it is busy but you just check out the fish. Been coming for years and think they are great.

Horrible I got an 1100 dollar price on an aquarium from the manager then came back the next day to buy it and the cocky store owner told me it's now 1300. I bought it anyway but will never buy anything. AFTER I bought it the tank needed work and he got out a power drill and was moving boards around.... The workers are rude and the fish are always sick. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra mile to go to a different store. 2 thumbs down. Also prices are way over priced.

Been coming here for a year or so while my getting my new tank started and still don't know why I keep going back. I went to the store recently to get some water and they gave me the wrong water and once it was in my tank I had several coral die. I called and spoke to the owner and they said it wasn't their fault and "Oh well, things happen". Didn't offer to replace my dead coral which was only about $80 and could have been a lot worse. I know many people who come here and I will be letting all my people know what happened. It seems there are many young kids who work there and contribute to the bad reviews about customer service. Good luck on getting a "hello" when you walk in or even after being there for a while. Just look at their water... They said that getting wrong water is common when they are busy... really? There are many places to go that I believe are much better... Trust the reviews on here. I pass about 3 stores on my way to theirs and you would think the owner would do something for me. They lost a customer that's for sure.

I've been shopping at this store for years - for both fresh and saltwater. They can get very busy at times, but I've never had to wait more than five minutes to get help. I was in there just today and there were four employees on the floor, helping people with their questions. I'm greeted by an employee every time I enter the store, and they always offer help. Their coral, fish, and freshwater plant selection is excellent, and prices are competitive. I can't see shopping anywhere else.

I would not recommend going here. I had a few sick fish and they sold me meds and did not give proper instuctions. Killed all of my fish.... Spoke to the owner and he refused to replace them even when the employee admitted their mistake. If the owner would have replaced the fish I bought with him I would have been happy. My tank was freshwater so it is not like I was asking him to replace hundreds of dollars worth of fish. It was the lack of customer service that turned me off, not the loss of the fish.
