Though it has a usually good, 'down-home' atmosphere Mama's Kitchen used to be the place to go. Featuring low-cost home-cooked meals made this small restaurant the place to go for any meal - with breakfast available all day, and a variety of menu items. This is no longer the case, especially when it comes to the breakfast part. What used to be the best homeade biscuits & gravy, along with sides available for a low-cost leaves you waning for a Denny's to be started close-by. Half a portion of ""frozen"" biscuits & gravy, microwaved to perfection, with 2 very small scrambled eggs and 2 strips of bacon now costs you a whopping $9.60 when just a few months back you could get good sized portions of the same (including 4 bacon strips) that were the ""real thing"" at almost half the cost. This is no longer the place to go for anyone on a fixed income. My recommendation would be to avoid due to the lack of quality and quantity that has overcome this restaurant.
