Expensive, but the food is incredible. I really enjoy the calamari, salmon, and tiramisu.

Good Food, and huge portions, but not cheap. Better deals elsewhere, but nice fancy place to go once in a while.

Loved that the restaurant was in Westshore Mall Shopping Center. 8 of us arrived about 2pm ona Sunday.... not overly busy and we did not wait more than a few minutes.\r Everything was clean & water glasses were refilled very quickly.\r \r The food was somewhat greasy and any vegetable was more like a garnishment rather than part of a meal.\r \r The menu describes unending plates of food until you are satisfied....the only problem was getting the waiters to actually Bring More Food.\r \r I guess the restaurant figures that if they wait long enough to bring a second serving, you'll fill up on water??\r Had 8 people at our table - 1st servings not enough to get a decent portion. FINALLY...2nd serving of only 1 item came (then it had only 2 pieces of chicken (for 8 people...what are they thinking????). We cut the 2 pieces of chicken into little pieces and shared & were all still hungry and once again waiting.\r .\r Without even checking with us the staff decided to serve desert....WAIT.. We wanted More Entree. Too bad for us.\r Desert was not enough for 8 people. It consisted of 2 thin slices of the best cake I've ever had...and 2 apple tarts.\r We shared....hoped for more - that never came.\r In the end.... sadly, we were all still hungry.\r \r We all agreed that Maggianos is way over rated and we would NOT be back. P.F.Changs next door looked inviting.\r \r

Overall, very nice atmosphere and good food. The portions were large and the drinks heavy-handed! The room was a little loud, but I guess that's to be expected during season.

Hadn't been to Maggiano's in a couple of years! I must say, the delightful experience that I'd had in the past still holds true with my recent visit. Since we had a good sized group of 8 people, I phoned ahead for reservations. We were celebrating a family member's birthday and also had out of town guests along. When we arrived, we found that the reservation was recorded under the wrong date and time. Needless to say, I was a bit distressed as I was positive I clearly stated the date and time of my reservation request. Let me also mention that there were several local proms going on that particular night and the place was standing room only! I was sure we'd either be turned away or have to wait for hours to be seated. I was pleasantly surprised when the manager came over and apologized for the error with the reservation and said that we'd have a table shortly. Within minutes we were seated at a very comfortable table and promptly greeted by our server. The rest of the evening was just as delightful! We opted for the family style meal. Making two selections in each category. The food was wonderful! Very flavorful, fresh and promptly served. All in all, what could have turned out to be a very disappointing birthday celebration, turned out positively memorable! Thank you Maggiano's!!! If you've not visited in a while or never visited, make a point to do it soon! I would suggest reservations though!
Great service and great food! Can get very busy at times so call ahead if you don't like to wait.

We had dinner there on Wednesday night. The restaurant was crowded with a forty minute wait; the hostess suggested we sit at a high-top by the bar. We accepted and that was a bad decision. We were seated by the restroom where there was much traffic. It was cold and when we complained about the open rear door, we were told that it had to be kept open (outside temp was 60).\r \r The service was spotty. Either you were hovered over by the waitress or she was not there.\r \r The food was not up to par. Either they are a class Italian restaurant or they are not.\r The bread was OK and served with olive oil. The appetizers were OK but the Calamari was excellent (tender, fresh and tasty.) The soups were OK. The Lasagna was served hot but dry; it needed way more sauce in order for it to be palatable. The Veal Ravioli was inedible with a weird topping. The Eggplant Parmigiana was OK. We drank but skipped desert in order to avoid another disappointment.\r \r The tab: $100.00+ for two. Not worth it!\r \r Final comment: An Italian restaurant ought to take pride in their sauces and gravies. At Maggiano?s the sauces compare to a good supermarket sauce sold in a jar.\r

I had heard excellent reviews about Maggianos and was anxious to try it for myself. I am sorely disappointed. I just wasted $100. The portions are huge but if you aren't a really big eater, they are not worth the money. It is $25 a person. I didn't eat even close to $25 worth of food. And the food wasn't great. The bread was hard and cold. The main courses were okay but I could make better food. The food was room temperature. The service was horrendous. The waiter acted like everything we asked for was a huge inconvenience. And they are rushing you out the door the moment you come in. It is family style and the dishes are all you can eat. But they don't give you much chance. They are clearing the food after 5 minutes. They don't have a wine list and their prices are outrageous. (probably why they don't have a list) I will never go to this restaurant again. If you want good italian food, excellent service, and a nice location, you are much better off going to Villa Gallache in Indian Rocks Beach. (No, I don't work for them, I just really like their food.)

This is food was great. I ALWAYS get the angel hair pasta and would say it is the best I have ever had.\r \r I don't live in Tampa, but whenever I am there I try to make it there. However, make a reservation because they are ALWAYS busy!!!!

Maggiano's has awesome Italian food, conveniently located in Westshore Plaza Mall. Portions are large and great when reheated. Unfortunatley, the service leaves much to be desired. I often have lunch there (one of my boss's faves) & find that the wait staff often forgets that they have tables until it's time to pay.

Yummy!!! Everything on the menu is great. As a result, there is always a wait. It's a little pricey but it's soooo worth it.

Maggiano's i feel was a high class, top-end dinner spot located conveniently in a mall parking lot. Just because I say high class does not mean suit and tie, jeans and a nice shirt work just as well! Though the atmosphere of a ""parking lot"" may throw you off, the elegance of this restaurant is more prestigeous then you may think! My first time experiencing this food was extraordinary! One large BOWL of speghetti is more then enough to feed an entire family, at least 3 people! The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding, i would definitely recommend this restaurant to ANYONE!

I cannot sing the praises of Maggiano's enough. Every time I go to Tampa I go here. The atmosphere has been great for business (first visit was on a business trip) and pleasure (I took my fiance the day we got engaged - very romantic). The food is fabulous. My favorite is the eggplant parmesean. The chocolate cake is to die for (it took the two of us 3 days to eat). I wish there was one closer to home (Orlando), but I will gladly drive to Tampa just for dinner! Five Stars!

This is Italian food for Southerners who don't know good Italian food. The food was below average and they didn't have romano cheese to add to your meal. The service was horrible. I did however enjoy the cheesy piano lounge singer. She looked like she was ready to go if anyone is looking for a decent looking older woman

I absolutely love Italian food and for that reason I love Maggiano's. You receive healthy portions and great, friendly service. It may get a little pricey depending on what you order, but for the wonderful atmosphere and great food, its worth it. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended (wait is usually 30min. - 1 hr. w/out one!).

I love dining here with a group because the family style meals are hard to beat. It is the ONLY all-you-can-eat place that actually allows you to leave the place with the food you can't finish. That said, it wouldn't be worthwhile if the food wasn't good, and it IS good! It is family friendly, for sure. Romantic? Can be, but that may depend upon where you are seated and possibly upon the time of day. I would probably scout out and request a table location if looking for a more secluded, romantic evening. I like that even when very busy, the noise level seems managable. And eating outside is lovely when weather permits.

From the fabulous bar to the Victorian decor, Maggiano's is a hit. The food comes in ridiculous portions, order 1/2 orders for 2! Doggie bags are alluminum containers in paper shopping bags (yes Virginia, there IS that much food) with reheating instructions printed on the lids! The family-style dinners (4 or more) have endless food. Finish a platter and they'll bring more! But a quartet cannot finish all that food! Service is almost lightening-quick. Cocktails are well made. A piano player lends additional ambiance to the bar. Can't get a reservation (very popular place)? Then get a table in the bar. Meeting rooms ooze atmosphere and come in many sizes with full bar set-ups. Marvelous place for any size group! Try it, you'll love it!

Forget the olive, forget carrabas, this place has got some great Italian food,, period! The ambience is very comfortable and the service is brilliant. From the thick marinara sauce to the pounded veal you just can't go wrong, especially since it is owned by a chain just like your Carrabas and Olive Garden. Those guys cannot touch this little shin-dig by a long shot. :)

This is a very nice place to eat and enjoy some entertainment from a good singer and piano player, the cost is not as much as it possibly could be, you can actully split a meal of beef meadions that melt in your mouth w/fantastic mashed potatoes and a great gravy w/mushrums/oinions, plus choice of breads and oils w/spices to suite your taste

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! The food is always fresh and perfectly prepared. Lunch is reasonably priced and the portions are perfect. I can't say enough about this place...thank god I work close by!
