Travellers Beware

This hotel is a beautiful property with a fantastic restaurant that is well known in Tampa. For locals who know how to get to the hotel and have their own transportation, it is a great place to catch the sunset from the top floor bar. Unfortunately, this hotel has absolutely NO access by foot to anything other than the hotel property. It is surrounded by highways and Tampa Int'l airport. The hotel does not provide an ongoing guest shuttle service and cab service is non-existent. Being 5 minutes from the airport, it is so rare for a hotel this large not to have a taxi stand! Recently, we waited almost one hour on a Saturday night after the bellman called for a taxi. If you choose to stay, be sure to ask for a room facing West!
