A few weeks ago, my husband and I visited Tampa from Asheville for 12 days. I thought the place we booked was "pet friendly." Upon our arrival, I discovered I was mistaken. I scoured the internet and decided to visit Camp Bow Wow. I loved it!

Bucky was interviewed for aggression. They checked his shot records and he stayed. I must say Kevin and the gang were all so skilled with how they handled him. My husband and I took him out twice and each time, he was happy to go back. Camp Bow Wow is the best kennel we've ever used!

Negligence!

My 8 month old puppy was returned to me as what Banfield Pet Hospital describes as a Traumatic injury. CAMP bow wow did not seek medical treatment. Instead they taped her head and left her over night..She is currently being put under for surgery this morning. I have put in 3 calls to camp now wow and left messages ...I have not received one phone call back. Please do not board your dogs at this location they are Negligent

Avoid this place. I boarded my lovely dog here overnight last week, and she ended up in surgery due to their pervasively inadequate practices. First, their maintenance is unacceptable. My dog tore herself open three, yes three, times on their poorly maintained chain link fence when she was put in with a group of aggressive dogs bigger than her. (employees tell me it is being replaced in two months. Whoopee!) Two of the injuries were deep and required stiches. a silver dollar sized hole was opened in her coat, One puncture was so deep it almost went all the way through the muscle to the thorax. Secondly, their monitoring is inadequate. Nobody there saw the injuries happen, and they didn't even notice them when they changed my dog to a group of smaller dogs, too late. Eventually the hole in the coat became apparent, even to them. Third, their attention to instructions is not acceptable. I always provide an extra day of food just in case some event interferes with my picking the dog up on time, such as a cancelled flight. So this group ignored instructions on how much to feed and gave the dog 2 days of food in one day. Ordinarily not the worst problem, except that surgery had to be delayed because of too much food in the system (asphyxiation risk while under anesthesia). Lastly, the response was uncaring. I have yet to hear from the owner asking how the dog is! Indeed, since I picked the dog up, nobody there has called me. In the two conversations I had, when I picked the dog up and once when I called to tell them what the vet said had occurred, both employees told me early in the conversation the owner wanted me to know they wouldn't necessarily pay for the vet, but might "work something out". For the record, I did not ask for their money and will not take their money. i want to be free to tell you the truth. But I thought it disgusting that they initiated 2 conversations on how they wouldn't stand behind their responsibilities, while not calling me to see how my lovely dog is recovering. Incidentally, Camp Bow Wow is a franchise operation, and my dog is a continuing client at another excellent location that just didn't happen to be convenient to flights from Tampa Airport.

My dog has been going to Camp ...

My dog has been going to Camp Bow Wow for a little over a year. I started taking her to camp when she was a puppy. She loves it! It gives me peace of mind to know that she is so happy there. The staff is really friendly and they give my dog tons of love and attention. I highly recommend Camp Bow Wow for daycare!

We have taken our chocolate la...

We have taken our chocolate lab here a few times, including overnight boarding. HE LOVES IT. I love that they can play all day rather than being stuck in a kennel. He is so tired by the time we pick him up from playing with his friends. The best part is that they have cameras in all of the dog runs and an app for your phone so you can watch your dog play all day (ahhh, piece of mind!). I would recommend camp bow wow if your dog is alone all day, or if you're going away this place makes dogs happy! Also, the camp members are so friendly and genuinely care about the dogs.

Great services and staff

My dog has been going here for over two years; mostly on Saturdays so that I can get a break or whenever I am out of town. He loves the staff and the playtime. The itunes app and the camper cam gives me a piece of mind. I would definitely recommend this place. The staff are nurturing and attentive.

The Best!

Camp Bow Wow is fabulous! I take our dog to camp at least once a week so he can run and play all day with his "friends" and he absolutely LOVES it! In fact, when we ask him if he wants to go to "doggie camp" he gets so excited and runs straight to the front door! We have been going for about a year now and I don't have any complaints!
