I moved to Tampa in 1986 and at that time, I had been in the beauty industry since 1971 as a leading stylist and makeup artist from Memphis, Chicago, St. Louis, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Of course the first thing I started looking for was a nail tech to do my nails and I spotted this girl's nail from across the room and went flying over the inspect her nails and then to ask where??? Where??? She told me and Tonya has been taking care of my nail care needs for all these years... My very first written review of her and her salon was when I worked part time as a social columnist for "The Brandon and Temple Terrace News". Of course the news was SPECTACULAR!!! Making long stories longer, if you just simple want your nails done go some where else, but if you want to join a salon for THE BEST NAILS EVER and a place you begin to just want to hang out at, then it is your duty and responsibility to yourself to visit Tonya's today!!! I been going to this salon for 4 years I had experiences with everyone getting pedicures, eyelashes, waxing, gel nails. Heres who I recommend an recommend not to got to.. Let's start with table #10 he very fast, good but likes to make is own prices, #5 she makes her own prices up too but not so good, Katey and fong very sweet girls and handle business with the eyebrow and eyelashes..the lady with the crazy eyebrows I'd stay away from, #8 has an attitude but she pretty good, the big guy with the tattoos is good fast and Keeps it real, but hardly ever works. For the rest of them still haven't seen wat they can do yet although the salon stays busy. Oo and the reception lady in the front has bad customer service skils which she is getting better on..
I have been a customer for 4 months now. My Mother-in-law lives in West Chase and she told me about the salon. I like this salon in particular because they are very clean. My sister got a fungus a long time ago at another salon so I'm really careful with salon sanitation. This place was very clean I notice they discard the puma stone and foot brush after every customer (unlike other places that simply wash and reuse these products). They also offered me a personal manicure/pedicure kit to keep at the salon for FREE. The people in the salon are really friendly and I like how the manager comes around and ask me if I am satisfy with the service.
