Maiers is a graduate of CORE Institute School of Massage Therapy & Structural Bodywork where he completed the 525-Hour Professional Massage Therapy Training Program and 48-Hour CORE Myofascial Therapy Certification. His CORE Institute training consisted of Relaxation/Swedish Massage, Structural Integration, Medical Massage, Chinese Medicine, Sports Bodywork, Myofascial Therapy, Clinical Massage, Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, Pathology, Hydrotherapy, Wellness, Professional Ethics, Business Management, and State Regulations. - Swedish / Relaxation Massage - $60 Swedish Massage, also known as Relaxation Massage, is the most common style of western massage modalities. Swedish Massage uses the techniques of effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, friction, vibration, touch without movement, & joint manipulation for the total relaxation of body, mind & spirit. These techniques are applied to improve overall function of the body. Myofascial Massage - $70 Myofascial Massage is the slow deliberate manipulation of the fascia layer (connective tissue) between the dermal layer and muscle tissue of the body. A Myofascial massage produces a thixotropic phase change, thereby allowing the muscles to move in concordance to their initial design. Overall, this western massage modality improves alignment, increases flexibility, reduces chronic pain and elevates functional performance levels. Thai Yoga Massage - $90 Thai Yoga is Facilitated, Non-ballistic, Non-specific, Passive Range of Motion. It is a Dancing Meditation. In this eastern modality, the client lies on a mat in a relaxed meditative state. The practitioner slowly moves around the client's body softly kneading, and bending their body into various poses, only bending to the client's first resistance. The client does not need to know anything about yoga, whatsoever; they only need to know how to relax. Thai Yoga relaxes the mind & body, improves circulation, increases energy & flexibility, and improves range of motion, all while centering the mind and body to bring a better state of health and wellbeing to you. Sessions can range in length from 45 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the session. Reflexology $60-$90 A natural, drugless, healing therapy that puts the nervous system into a parasympathetic state - the only state in which rest and repair can occur. Reflexology is based on the theory that there are reflexes in the feet and hands that correspond with every organ, gland, and part of the body. It uses a combination of relaxation techniques, thumb and finger walking, and working on a point. Reflexology relaxes by reducing tension and stress, improves circulation of the blood and lymph, promotes normal functioning of the body's organs and glands, and helps to maintain optimal health. Hot Stone Massage - $75 The Chinese used heated stones more than 2000 years ago as a means of improving the function of internal organs. Hot stones help with increasing blood circulation and the body's metabolism as well as decreasing stress, tension and tissue stiffness. Fire Cupping Session - $40 Cupping is an ancient method using vessels to create vacuums on the skin thru means of heat & suction which draws up the underlying tissues. REIKI SESSION - $40 Reiki is a method of natural healing that uses energy channeled through a practitioner.

I always enjoy my massages and Thai Yoga therapy sessions with John Maiers. Being that I am 70 years old and do not like to drive, I love the fact that he comes to me. Believe me, if I can do Thai Yoga – you can! I was badly burnt in a house fire over 40 years ago and have had limited mobility ever since that increasingly worsened with age. With John’s Thai Yoga treatments in his Wellness Week Series, I was able to walk without my cane – and able to spend my 70th birthday walking around Sea World Orlando with my daughter.

I have had the chance to experience John's handy work several times. I have to say John's hands are like magic. He makes sure you are comfortable with every aspect of the allotted time from the ambiance of the location, general relaxation, conversation. John has always demonstrated the utmost professionalism. I had the joy of getting a massage from John recently. What blissful relaxation. He immediately put me at ease with his ability to make conversation or be quiet whichever I needed at the time.
