Terrible Place!

This place is horrible! The doctors do not practice good medicine. You can never get them on the phone to ask a question. The place is so chaotic and unorganized that it is a headache to even go here. Want an appointment? Dream on! You have to sit for hours to have a face to face appointment with the doctor or you have to drop off early in the morning and pick up late in the afternoon, never hearing from the doctor. I would NEVER recommend this place. Yes they are "cheaper" than other clinics, but think about it, there is a reason they are so cheap, they are cutting corners somewhere. Animals are not cheap, so spend the money to get the best care. There are a lot of great vets in town, go somewhere else. If 0 stars were possible, that is what this clinic would get.

they can compete with any Veterinary clinic in North Florida and South Ga

My dog Cali was operated by the doctors at the clinic on 12/22/11. They made my dog life and mine easier. Pro and post operation treament was fantastic (by the Vet as well as the whole staff). I would have paid anythng to remove the growth on my doc, but the work (surgery) and its price was impressive cheap. I had my dog stiches removed today and the attention for my dog and myself from the Doctors really impressed me. Thanks to all.

Tallahassee Animal Aid Center displayed humanitarianism towards me and my cats. They treated my pets for a fee I could afford which allows me to keep them despite my unemployment. Thank you Animal Aid for saving my cats lives.

love Animal Aid I took my two dogs there because a friend told me how good the place was. I found out it wasn’t good it’s great. I had my male neuter and female spay the cost was great because the vet. I was using was going to charge me well over $500.00 dollar. My Male dog (Ice) ripped his stitches out and when I took he back they didn’t charge me but room and medication because they said that I was being a reasonable pet owner. I Loved that! My female dog (Echo) had to have surgery on her left rear hip they did a great job and they also work with me on a payment plain so that I could her walking again that meant the world to me. The staff interacts with the pets that go there. There heart is in their job your pet need medical cares take them to Animal Aid you will be glad do.

I think animal aid is awesome. I have gone to them since they were on Tharpe Street back in the 80's. Margo is a very compassionate and caring women and loves animals and runs Animal Aid Well. It is chaotic at times and you have to wait, but thats to be expected sometimes with any business. You can drop your pet off and leave or wait with them during 9am to 11am or 2pm tp 4pm. During these times you can go back with your pet when he/she sees the doctor and you wait in the room with your pet. People really should have all their facts together befor they give reviews. Everyone there works very hard. I have never seen them not clean up any messes. I feel they have been improperly rated!

The worse thing about this place is the long wait. I cannot afford to take my animals to a regular vet and they work with me on the payments here. I feel they truly care about animals or they wouldn't work with me on a payment plan. I trust and appreciate the care they give. I have boarded my dogs with them and haven't had any problems. I feel my pets are in good hands.

Never again.

When I adopted my dog from the Animal Shelter they sent him to Animal Aid to be neutered (I was new in town and just picked a vet that was close to my house). I had to go back several times to have this done, because each time there was some reason they couldn't do it. The fourth, and last, time I went there we came home with kennel cough (and still not neutered). The place is worse than a zoo. I understand it's cheap, but they are seriously disorganized and when animals "mess" on the floor they just step over it and keep on going. They don't let you go back with your animal, you just drop it off in the morning and pick it back up in the evening. While that is convenient for working adults, it's also a little odd that they don't let anyone beyond the counter... Anyway, if you're looking for a cheap vet and aren't too concerned about your pets health, Animal Aid is fine for you. If you don't want to keep making return visits because your dog keeps getting sick from being there, you might want to spend the few extra dollars and find a more...professional...vet.

I do not recommend this place. Sure they're inexpensive compared to a normal veterinarian office, but do you really want to put your pet through this?1.You don't really make an appointment, they tell you to go in from such and such time; they're packed with people; pick a number, wait another hour, finally you're called, drop off your pet, repeat when you pick pet up.2.It's one of the dirtiest clinics I've ever seen! I can't imagine how nasty the operating rooms are! 3.Certain services that should be included in the price of a spay/neuter are optional here and cost an additional amount. (i.e iv, catheter, etc) 4.They give your female pets tattoos to prove they're spayed, without your prior approval.5.Your pets, you love them dont you? You care about their health and well being enough to take them to a vet, so why not spend a little more for a real clinic? If you do go here, keep in mind that your pets will be very stressed and might come back with an illness.

This place saved 2 of my dogs lives and I will forever be indebted to them! They never questioned whether or not I could pay for the services, they rushed them into surgery and afterwards we talked money. The cost was absolutely amazing it was so low. And they were even willing to work out a payment plan for me, but due to the low price, I didn't need to use that helpful service. These people love animals! I won't use anyone else now! I have one cat and 4 dogs, all of them patients of Animal Aid!!! :-)

The best decision I ever made!

Although you may have to wait in line, you can NOT beat the price and care your pets will receive at Animal Aid!

The best decision I ever made!

This place is very busy but is a lot more reasonable than other vet clinics. You may have to wait a lot longer than other clinics but I've been taking my pets here for years. The doctors and techs are very nice and do whats best for your pet. The other review must be from somewhere else because I've boarded my pets at this clinic numerous times over the last 5 years and have never had a problem. I have also been in the back area and everything seemed clean and well-maintained. Remember this is a low-cost clinic so a lot more animals are spay/neuterd but it's definitely a safe and recommended place to take your pets.

I've taken ALL our pets to this clinic since 1979. It's like a County Health Dept. for pets!

It is cheaper, that is why I go out of my way to take our animals there. The people who work there obviously have a SINCERE DEEP CONCERN FOR ANIMALS...they're certainly not in it for the glamour. They are overworked and underpaid, but truly try to do the best they can with what they have. they are very very busy. No, it is not the same as going to a private vet, and you will have to take a number and wait your turn, but it is far more affordable than the alternatives. They were very considerate and helpful when we had to put our 16 year old dog to sleep: we adopted her through the foster program, and she had never been to any other clinic. Don't go there if you expect it to be like any private vet office - forget it. But, if you could otherwise not afford to spay/neuter, or vaccinate your pet, this is a wonderful option I recommend.

There is nothing to like about this business, unless you don't like your pet. DO NOT trust them!!!!

I boarded my dog w/ them 1 weekend, I picked her up and she had INFLAMED HOLES in her lips, a KNOT ON HER SNOUT, INFECTED AREAS on both elbows, and that night she pooped blood, only to find out she caught COCCIDIA from this place. It took HOURS for a vet to see my dog and she TRIED to say that the INJURIES sustained to my dog over the weekend were UNDERLYING CONDTIONS THAT CAME TO A HEAD OVER THE WEEKEND. I'm sorry, illnesses are underlying conditions NOT injuries.DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. I went into the back to SEE the kennels and they had cats lined up in cages in the HALL and in 1 room, they had 4 operating tables -all with an animal on them doing procedures. How sterile is that???? They even had a dog on a table in front of the substandard kennels they are boarding animals in. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE - DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE - DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE - DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE

Good quality for the price

If you have the time to wait for your turn this is good place. The vets are as good as any others I have met and all the employees are helpful and at least somewhat knowledgable.... and it costs less. I think my animals are in good hands there.
