Called them to repair an AC unit during an August, 2015, heat wave. My wife has ALS, so it was imperative that A/C, which was not blowing cold, be repaired.



I was told that weekend labor rates were more expensive. Labor cost was reasonable; an acceptable 50% markup.

What they told me, at the house, was that they also charge "weekend rates " for PARTS!

I was shown a page in a binder with "weekend parts rates!"

The required part cost me $168. I kept the part number, to purchase a spare, as the repairman told me that this was the part that failed "8 times out of 10." It is very easy to replace.

An identical part wwas purchased by me at Amazon. A P291-5054RS Capacitor for $24.00. That's with Free Shipping.



They charged me $168 FOR THE SAME PART!!



That's a 600% markup! From RETAIL PRICING!!



That is price-gouging in the worst way!

Do not go with these people. They are nice enough, but they use an inferior air conditioning product, put it in slip shod, with kinks in the coils that develop leaks, then they won't stand behind the product or warranty. I will never use them or a Carrier, Temp Star or Bryant product again.
