Abbey Lane Apartments

I am a new resident to the abbey lane apartment complex. The leasing manager at this complex is unprofessional to her customers. myself as well as bystanders have heard her unprofessional ways of speaking to residents. Her lack of customer service makes it so I would never recommended the community to others. I gave it two stars because the grounds are well maintained, the apartment it self is nice for what you pay and its a great location. In my 11 years of rental history, I have never come across such poor customer service or stated that I wouldnt recommended the community. if this could change, then 5 stars all around. I have 11 more months on my lease and I am hoping for a better experience in case I want to extend at the end.

Horrible place to live. I would not recommend this place to anybody. The management was horrible. Liya was a monster when I lived here. Second hand smoke all the time and dangerous parking lot. Paper thin walls and mold in the apartments. I am glad to not have my family living there anymore. Christine in the office was a nice lady and was very good at dealing with our issues. Liya would just complicate things and make them more difficult.

According to a neighbor, our door had been kicked in previously. There was a crack along the length of the door on the side, rendering the deadbolt useless.
Both of our cars were hit and run victims. The police said to check the complex's camera footage that shows the cars that enter and exit the apartments. We asked the office to view the footage to try to ID the cars that had damage and paint that matched what had been left on our cars. They said no. They said they would review it. We kept checking in but were told each time there was nothing.
Towards the tail-end of our lease, I started becoming nauseous every day every couple of hours and it was keeping me from eating regularly. We called the health inspector and described the situation to her. After months and months of feeling sick, tired, and dizzy, we discovered that we had black mold in our bathroom ceiling fan.
You can't leave your windows open to cool your apartment unless you want it to smell like cigarettes every evening.

Ive been in my 1 bedroom for about a year now. I love my apartment and the location, My favorite part is the kitchen, its very open and has an island that offers lots of space for prepping my meals. I love to cook and entertain so having an open concept living room kitchen was very important to me. The property is well taken care of, the landscaping crew is out here once a week. The ladies in the office are always a pleasure to talk to. If your looking for a quiet community in a desirable location this is the place.

Great community in a very convenient area.

I moved here for the security and school district.

Having a gate and pool was something I was not willing to compromise on. My daughter LOVES the water, so it's nice to be able to let her swim on the weekend in the summer time. Grocery stores, coffee shops are right around the corner. And I have a FULL size washer and dryer in my apartment which I must say is a life saver with a toddler. Very quite community and the grounds are very clean. I really like it here.

Of all the apartments we've rented in the past, this place is by far the best. The apartment itself was clean and in good condition when we moved in, and the managers on site were very attentive to our needs. They remain really accessible and professional. Due to my mother not really being familiar with the "Tech World" of computers, she asked me to write this review for her. My mother lived at Abbey Lane for many years before we put her into the retirement home. She enjoyed the friendly staff and loved the beautiful cherry blossoms growing around the apartments. Since she had a bottom floor 1 bedroom, she could get out easily with her walker, and go to Fred Myers across the street to do her grocery shopping. She loved being at Abbey Lane Apartments, but it was time for her to move on to a retirement home at the age of 81 years old.

Years at this apartment: 2009 - 2013



Abbey Lane was great while we lived there, but as soon as we left our notice we had nothing but trouble from them. We always paid on time, and never had any one complain about us.



TWO months after we left we received notice that we were being sent to collections over damage to the apartment. The damage that we were being charged for is under WA State law (http://www.washingtonlawhelp.org/resource/your-rights-as-a not things they can not charge for: specifically worn carpets. Which were not new when we moved in, and we lived there for over 4 years.



We received NO notice from them within 14 days (Like the law says they need to) and they are giving us the run around for it. My credit should not be in jeopardy over worn carpets.



Also, the corporate office for this company is rude and offers no assistance.



So FYI at your own risk. Manager and CO. will take advantage of you when you move out.

Very unimpressed with their customer service. What should have been an easy move into their apartments turned into a tiresome battle with the staff in the leasing office. The apartments look nice, but there is no way I would want to deal with those people on a regular basis. We chose to look elsewhere!
