Worth County Primary School, established in 1995, serves the educational needs of students in grades kindergarten through two. The school has an enrollment of more than 800 students and is a part of the Worth County School District. It follows the Wee Deliver postal curriculum and focuses on reading and language arts, math, science, social studies, music, art and physical education. The school s halls are marked with child-sized street signs and banners depicting the street names with pictures. Each classroom has a mailbox outside its door and its own address. Every class on the south side of the building writes on a regular basis to its penal class on the north side. Recognized as a Backyard Habitat and a Schoolyard Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation, the school annually hosts a Nature Trek in the trail area. Worth County Primary School operates a more than 120,000-square-foot building and is located in Sylvester, Ga. It has been recognized as the National Title 1 School of Distinction.
